Joe was on the Mark & Brian Show (KLOS) this morning plugging tomorrow night's benefit concert. Turns out that Harold Owens was Joe's counselor when he was going through rehab some 14 years ago. He said that the guy will just make it but he will make it and said that there will be a big silent auction before the show.

I got to heard it on my morning walk and it really put a spring in my step. Just think in 24 hrs I will be on my way to the Roxy. Will give everyone the low-down sometime Wednesday. Hopefully, I'll get a few pixs too.

    Thanks Samo

FYI: Here is a link to KLOS for those of you who missed yesterday's broadcast.

In about 12 hours I'll be heading inside the Roxy. I can barely breath. Gotta go. Lots of things to do before tonight's show.

BTW: The National Kidney Foundation of SoCal is taking donations on their web-site if anyone can't make the show but still wants to contribute.

Thanks for the heads-up - I'll put a link to the interview on Joe Walsh Online.

    Default The Roxy Roxed!

A bit too tired right now to write much of a review but here are the highlights.

Will Hollis and Michael Thompson lent a hand (or two) on keyboards while Irving Azoff lent his support. Joe was white-hot, impishly animated, and hell-bent on vibing Robert Plant right of the stage 'cross town at the Greek Theater. Rumor is Plant said to Alison Krause, "Hey woman..I...Need...Ahhhh....love....nooooooo....Jim my Page....Help" LOL!!

Joe got to do Funk 49 much to everyone's delight. He sat in on about 6 Straight Shot songs including my personal favorite Slow Motion In Reverse a catchy ditty that had all of us snapping our fingers and bopping our heads just like J.D. himself. What a character that guy is.

We grabbed a table right in front of J.D. and Joe and I was able to get a ton of pixs and a few short videos. I'll hook eveyone up later. For those of you who are members of JWFC, hop on over there and check out the pixs I posted on the photo-board.

    Now to get some sleep!

Wow, Carol! Sounds like you had a great time! I loved the Plant reference! Another variant might be: 'hey hey mama said the way Walsh moves' or 'if Walsh keeps on playing the levee's going to break'.

    FreyPower-That's about right! LOL.

Here's another: "Hey Alison, stop fiddlin' around!" Sorry Alison Krause fans but I had to say it.
