    Default Timmy Watching

Last time was California Tour 2005 and since I live in California I think I was either in the first or second row right in front of him at least 6 times and that included two Hawaii shows. He finally gave me a pick in Hawaii.

I had front row in front of Joe at Staples that tour too and Timmy came over and personally thanked me and another couple for buying those tickets as they were Eagles' charity tickets that cost me a bundle-but well worth it. Look what I got in return and they were tax deductible.

I had front row, stage left in the 500 seats at the Nokia in Los Angeles last Oct for 3 of the 6 shows but it was off-sides to his right so it wasn't directly in front of him but close enough for me; i.e., I was at the stage with no one in front of me but Timmy B. So this show was the first time right in front of him in almost 3 years! And, considering the place only holds 2,400 people tops well worth the wait.

    Default Bugaboos about Borgata

Don't misunderstand me, Nancy, I'm not the least bit agitated about "what rumors are going 'round", to quote Henley, about the Borgata. Just wanted to set the record straight because the fans that I am referring to, tend to be petty and resentful when anyone else gets any attention and oftentimes engage in all types of distracting behaviors, including out and out lying, to steal other people's spotlight sorry to say.

Carol-Lynn, that is exactly the reason that our Terms of Service here on The Border addresses this kind of stuff. We choose to disregard what happens in the fan community unless it directly affects this board. There are always people out there that like to stir things up. As long as it doesn't happen on this board, they are free to write or say whatever they want. We have no control over other people's behaviors or actions so we usually just ignore them. The way I look at it is that they usually do that kind of stuff for attention, so why give them what they want.

Well, I was in the very last row in the bleachers at the Thursday's show, so there was no dancing going on there I saw people dancing down on the floor though.

As far as the intensity goes, hmmm..... I too thought there was less intensity at Borgata than at the Madison Square Garden. But that's to be expected when you have an audience of 2,000 vs. 20,000 at MSG. There was a lot more dancing going on at MSG and people were singing and waving their open cellphones. So, the audience itself was more intense. Plus, the band did "All She Wants To Do Is Dance" which we did not get at Borgata
Oh, and there was a whole lot more drinking going on at MSG so maybe that also explains it

But what I got at Borgata was a sense of intimacy which I felt even in my last row. It was just a different experience, that's all. I am glad I had experienced both.

    Default Borgata-Jly 19th

Yes, Brooke, I had one memorable week. My feet are slowly recovering from all the walking and dancing that I did but at least I can walk without covering all the blisters in band-aids.

Sorry, no pictures to share this time as now-days the closer you are, the harder it is to take pictures-especially at the Borgata. Philly wasn't as much of a problem. At the Wachovia, one female fan a couple people over from me on Joe's side was able to take several pictures from the second row without a problem.

I didn't even bother trying to take a camera into either venue even though it would have been a snap to bring a camera into the Borgata. I'm glad I didn't either because this massive security guard in front of me Saturday night kept yelling at some woman in back of me who refused to stop taking pictures with her cell. They got into a real shouting match over it. I thought sure she'd get tossed because she was arguing with the guy but she didn't. The upside was it piqued Timmy's curiosity and he came over to the edge of the stage and asked me "What's going on." I guess he thought the guy was yelling at me. Too much drama for this mama!

    Well, it's back to normal.

MSG was my first concert as well and I've been a fan from the beginning.
