Almost the same for me. I've also been around from the start, and my first time seeing them live was in 2004. I think there may be a lot of people like us out there.

Wow, it really must have been bad for Tim to notice it! That reminds me of the 1989 Stevie Nicks concert when she saw guards shoving her fans back roughly as they tried to get up to the stage for the Edge of Seventeen walk (as is expected at a Nicks concert). She stopped everything and apologized for security, then snaps at them, "You f--k with my people, I'm gonna get real f--king angry!!"

    Default Stevie Rocks

Not surprised to hear that Stevie did that. She is the Queen and that's why I love her so! As Lindsey says in UTS, Long live the Queen!

Having Tim speak to you must have made all the commotion worthwhile, for you at least, perhaps not for the lady behind you!

    JoeFan,

I tell you one thing the woman just didn't get it and I'm surprised they didn't take her phone/camera away from her and/or kick her out. I saw them take one of the high roller's phones from the front row during the Thursday, July 17th ,show and that guy only asked the person once-not five or six times-to stop.

She sure was one angry woman I can tell you that. I tried talking to her but she just started yelling about how unreasonable the policy was which actually made things worse. Blah!Blah!Blah! I figured she was a nut or on drugs so I backed off. I just didn't like security in my face. We were in the front row and there was no where to move because there were people on either side of us. The guy was so big he towered over me and blocked my view of Timmy. I kept trying to see around him but it was a chore. What a moron.

Her selfish behavior interrupted an entire song over what-a couple pictures that she'll probably never look at again. All things considered, I had enough interaction with Tim anyway to last me another 3 years without her psycho melt-down. Too much drama.

Carol-Lynn, allow me to firstly say how entertaining I find your posts. You have a wonderful sense of humour and a way with words. Carry on!

Secondly, I could say that I'm sorry that awful security guard blocked your view of Timmy, but at the same time, had he not given the lady behind you all her days, Timmy would not have spoken to you! Woo hoo hoo, I'm so happy for you!

I must say, the security really went overboard at the concert. The lady may have been selfish, but the guys themselves seem to consider photo taking a non-issue, so why does security make it an issue? I think it's ridiculous , but that's just my opinion.

Soda, I know very little about Stevie Nicks, but I have a whole lot of respect for her for how she stood up for her fans at that 1989 concert!

    Stevie, you GO girl!

Default Borata Gotta Too Much Security!

    Mrs. Frey,

Thanks. Appreciate that you appreciate! That's Great!

I heard that security was all over people at Stevie's show in June so I was prepared for their over-zealousness. The only time that I personally heard any Eagle complain about pictures was last August at a local Indian Casino here in Los Angeles. Henley was doing a solo tour and stopped off at the Soboba Casino. Anyway long story longer, he implored fans not to "spend all night watching me through your camera's view-finder."

I had no problems in April of this year when Glenn and his son Deacon played the Roxy or when Joe played the same place in June with J D & the Straight shots. I was literally a foot from them with nothing but thin air between us and I took tons of pictures and videos. I made sure I kept the flash off though. So you're probably right that they aren't that worried about pixs. I read though that Glenn made some comment about videos ending up on the net at MSG but I don't think he was mad about it. He keeps his eyes closed most of the time anyway so he wouldn't even know if you stripped naked or not all things being equal. HahHah!

I just read this from someone's blog. Not sure which concert they attended, but security actually deleted the pics from their camera.

"My husband and I went to the concert last night. We saw the Eagles in ‘77 and we both felt that last night’s show was missing something. As we were leaving I actually said to my husband that Joe Walsh seemed to be the only one with a personality. My husband was escorted by security for taking a few pictures at one point, naughty him. They deleted what he had and returned him to his seat. He wasn’t too bothered, he said to security I have the best pics from 35 years ago maybe when they weren’t so greedy."

Really ? What did he say about it ?

As far as arguing with security after getting caught filming, that's just ridiculous. Rules are rules and if you get caught breaking them, then you have to suffer the consequences. She could have filmed without being so obvious.

Siny, Glenn made a comment at the Hard Rock concert, from Soda's review:

"My wife asks me, 'Where were you last night?' I tell her, 'Myrtle Beach, I swear! You can see me on YouTube!" [gets huge laugh]. "Anyway, we'd like you not to film our songs, so if you see someone next to you doing that, please ask them to stop." I think he's taken over the "YouTube = bad" duties because he can pull it off in a charming way, whereas Don comes off as grouchy, lol.
I suppose security guards can't tell if you're taking photos or filming, but taking people's cameras away and deleting shots seems tight.
