Well tbf - congratulations on an all around terrific day. And I also think it is cool that the Eagles offices are on Glendon Avenue. When we were visiting L.A. in April and doing our Eagles tour, I was hoping we could find Glendon Avenue and ride by there, but we ran out of time!

Err GA - uh no. Glenn is actually not going to turn 40 - he just looks like he is!

Good luck on hearing from Tim, TBF. I wrote to him also recently and hope to hear something!

I also wrote to Don some time ago and never heard anything. I'm still hoping on that one, too.

*sigh* I wrote to Don too, several years ago, and never heard anything either.

Well, I realize that they can't respond personally to every fan letter, but you would think they would do something.

A generic letter with an autographed picture would provide enough sustenance for me.

    Well of course--and I just turned 29!

But all too often, they show up on eBay like those do.

I seriously doubt that Eagles LTD granted commercial license to the ebay seller for these prints.

I agree though that Maleah's pics are every bit as good!

Amen Mike-but how do they stop it? And is this illegal? I seriously don't know, but if it is-shouldn't ebay put a stop to it? I'm really surprised the Eagles aren't all over ebay with all the pics that get sold on there.

Well, it is definitely a violation of the "rights" of the Eagles LTD. It may be that it is just not worth it for them to go after the offenders. This is pretty blatant though.

Such a shame too. A few exceptions like this of people taking pictures pretty much ruin it for those who just want pictures for personal use simply because they think so highly of the band. With stuff like this going on, it is no wonder that the Eagles ban cameras usually during concerts.

The Eagles are in the business to make money and to have someone try to capitalize on their Fame is certainly someting that could definitely be prosecuted in civil court.

It is no different than buying a CD, making a copy of it and selling the copies. Or copying a book and selling the copies without royalties going to the author.

    It's just WRONG.

It's my understanding that it is illegal, but I'm not surprised that Ebay doesn't put a stop to it. They only do something when an auction is reported to them; they don't watch out for problems and try to prevent them. They're purely reactionary.
