Good luck to all of our members who are returning to their schools and colleges this week, or whose kids are. I hope everyone has a fruitful year. GEF, I hope your son enjoys his well - deserved break after all the hard work he has put in.

My mom and sister did an extensive family history about 15 years ago culminating in a huge family gathering in Co Meath in 1994 and the publication of a small book about the family. And that was before the internet!! Good luc to those embarking on such a project.

My first day back at work was good. I'm teaching three classes this semester and the kids look good so far! My students are overwhelmingly male, I guess because these are computer-oriented writing classes. In one class, I have 19 boys and 1 girl - and she's dropping!

It really is a shame that more girls don't go into the tech fields. I agree with ticky that girls can be just as good at computers as guys.

My SO phoned tonight - he's two days into his marathon walk and has checked into a hotel for this evening - a rare luxury. We are missing him, but also enjoying some 'me time'!
