I'm rather obsessed with the footage from the Don Kirchner show where Jackson "Bright Baby Blues." (Love the country twang Felder's slide guitar adds to it.) In fact, it's made me obsessed with the song--played it on repeat a lot today. There's something about the way he sings the line "Pray to God for me, baby/that he lets me slide..."
Oh, how I love that! The lyrics are so insightful. For me, the thing that would make it perfect would be some Eagle harmonies.

Thaks for posting that AEW. I never saw that before. Is it just me or did Jackson's lips look extremely kissable in that video?
I'm nothing if not tenacious in my obsessions, so after finding that "Nightingale" clip on YT with Jackson singing lead, with Glenn, JD and Linda Ronstadt backup, I had to find if any other of his demos were anywhere...
...Well, of course they were--this is the Internet, home to everything! The song came from the Criterion Demos, recorded in April of 1970. They weren't truly intended to be released, but rather, for the record company to give to artists who wanted to record Jackson's songs. They're rather stripped down, and gorgeously simple, though in a few songs, Glenn, JD and Laurel--Canyon-buddy, Ned Doheny, provide backing vocals and instruments. (As far as I can tell, Linda's only on "Nightingale.")
Little bit of audio hissing in background, but not bad in quality. Lordy, Jackson's voice is so swoony... Love this.
