No - I grew up in Beaumont, and they now live in Houston.
HB - I've misplaced the car so many times I don't judge. If I had been paying better attention, I would've realized we'd gone out the wrong door before we walked around for 15 minutes. Obviously, I was totally over my morning mischance by then!
Austin - I need that app!
Hi nancy
Enjoy your time with your family
I alsothink it could be enviormental
Something there could be a trigger
Just glad you are. Ok
Austin
Me too on the app
Thanks Austin! I could definitely use that app. What will they think of next?
Maybe. I had problems again this morning with a few very brief absence seizures. They were so brief that I was able to hide it from my parents as long as I didn't talk and didn't hold a drink or something that I might drop (you don't fall down or visibly shake during those), but I was worried it would lead to something more. Thankfully, it didn't and they stopped after a few minutes. Dad suspected something as he watches me like a hawk after an "episode", but it passed soon enough this morning for me to explain away any lack of responsiveness in conversation. This happens often when I visit them.
PS The reason I hide the smaller ones is because they make such a HUGE fuss about it that I only tell them if I think there's going to be a big one coming.
In other news, while we were getting out Christmas decorations this morning, I insisted we also get out my grandmother's old photos. I plan on scanning them in so we can have digital copies. Some are 100 years old!
Lol, though I do know how it feels, HB! It can be kinda scary if you are at one of those huge malls! Been there done that with my mom several years ago! The problem was we went in one door and then went upstairs and then tried to leave from the second level. We finally remembered which department we had gone in to when we went in and then we found the car!
Me too, on the app but I don't have a smart phone, so.......
Glad you're home with your parents for the holiday, Soda! Have fun!

Argh I'm on my phone and my whole post just disappeared when the page froze and refreshed
Let's try this again
I know I've been MIA around here! I miss you all! I've had a lot going on.
I figured I would take the time while on the bus up to my mom's for Thanksgiving to say hello and give y'all a little update. Headed up a day earlier than usual to avoid traveling in the snow we are getting tomorrow. I get really nervous traveling in bad weather.
I recently received some of the most exciting and surreal news ever!
When my mom was young she had to give up a baby girl for adoption. After wanting/trying to find my mom for about 30 years, (and vice versa) she finally found my mom a couple of weeks ago! She's about 10 years older than me. She lives out in LA and works for LA Magazine. She's smart, cool, super sweet, and beautiful. We have so much in common despite the time and space between us. In fact, we have so many parallel coincidences in our lives that it's borderline spooky.
There's way too much I could say about her, so I won't say much more.
But I will say she also LOVES the Eagles!!!
She said she always wanted to start an all girls Eagles cover band! Haha (she plays the guitar and sings too)
I'm really excited to get to know my older sister!
If I can't have it all, just a taste will do...
Seizures are scary. I'm glad you're okay Nancy. Hang in there! Xoxo
