GEF - Jethro in the conservatory (and out) is so cute... and yes, love the bit of garden we're seeing too!

I LOVE That statue/Gracie pic, Molly! That's classic! And hey, what could be sexier than a man who lets a dog climb into his innertube? I thank that photo is smokin'!

Excellent renovation, gef! I wish I could enjoy it as much as Jethro is!

And Molly, I was cracking up with both your pix and accompanying story lines!

GEF, I love the pictures of Jethro and I also want to see more of your garden!

Molly, is hubby wearing anything under that dog?

GEF, Jethro and the garden are beautiful! I'm looking forward to seeing more of both!

Molly, Gracie is adorable *G* So is Hubby hehehe Nice pool too!

My SIL just got a new pup, a rescue, and they named her Gracie too! She's a mut mix, but looks exactly like a miniature boxer! She's adorable and VERY energetic!! She's not quite a year old and very sweet but barks like crazy when she gets excited, which is pretty easy for her to do. If I find a good picture of her, Ill post it.

Every time I visit this thread, I end up wanting a pet even more. They're all gorgeous!

A friend of mine has just got a German Shepherd named Macy. Apparently she was treated quite badly by her previous owners and she's terrified of everything. It's so sad. I know he'll give her a good home.

Good for him Troub! Maybe EV can help me out here - are there bad pets, or just bad owners?

I'll go on record with my opinion that it's usually the owner that's the problem. Even a large number of the Michael Vick dogs that were taken away were able to be rehabilitated and re-homed. So-what does that tell you?

Of course, some breeds are more difficult to handle than others and mis-breeding and overbreeding contributes to "bad pet" issues. But again, a lot of that is the fault of humans!

Yeah to all the new adoptees! I love hearing about animals finding their forever homes! Good luck to all.

Louise-again just my opionion, but I'd say that dog would benefit from a routine as soon as possible. Dogs really, really need a routine and consistency. It will provide a lot of comfort to that dog and help it adjust to it's new home sooner. The more confident the dog becomes in it's surroundings -the happier it will be and eventually, it will pretty much forget it's bad beginnings. I wish your friend lots of patience -I know from experience it will pay off and they will have a wonderful loving member of the family. Your friend is my hero!

Hmmm, Ditka and the word smokin' are not usually thought of in the same sentence. Must be his sexy farmer tan.

He did have a few good months around 1998, though! (I'm sooo busted if he ever sees this. Luv ya, hon!)

Old man board shorts. Gracie is nekked, though!

Oh, always! We've both been married a long time, haven't we, Brooke!
