We were talking about perms and whether Don had one in two other threads, and it made me think about the short amount of time I wore my hair short and with a perm. This is my senior prom in 1979.

VA that is awesome! You look so pretty And is that a Gunne Sax dress? Very late 70s / early 80s.
My nickname at the time was Fifi due to the poodle look. I let it grow out to shoulder length after this and kept it that way for a few years, then let it grow down past my waist.
It wasn't a Gunne Sax dress officially, but made to look like one.

Wow, was yesterday throw-back-Thursday here? VA, I never thought I'd see the day where you would post a picture of yourself here or anywhere! I love it! And I got to see the real deal last October!

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
Here are a few pics from my trip:
Mount Rushmore
Along Needles highway
Squeezing thrugh a tunnel on Needles highway
There are three tunnels like this and you can see Mount Rushmore in the distance from inside them! Some kind of engineering going on with that! There were mere inches between the sides and the bus! Our driver was amazing!
Crazy Horse
It's taken over 60 years to get this much done and one family has done the majority of the work! With 10 kids! Three tour busses would fit in the hole! I also have a new appreciation of the American Indians and what they went through.
Crazy Horse model (long way to go!)
Headed up in Rocky Mountain National Park
These elk crossed the road in front of us and headed on up!
At the Continental Divide
If you get the chance, go see!
