Another thought on the curly hair, maybe he did pin curls! Remember those? You would twirl a strand of hair and lay it flat on your head and hold it with two bobby pins. I can just see Don doing that....NOT!

Attachment 1037 This is a pic of Don Henley as a very young teenager. He always said that he was little as a kid. And compared to his friend Richard Bowden, he was,, Wow. by the way, Don is the one in the yellow grayish man blousey thingy. Oh and his hair is very curly in this pic??? Kinda putting a quirky kinda spin on that whole, he had to have had a perm to get his afro question,, lol

so is Felicity the name of their band? or is this Shiloh?

DHO states that Felicity was formed after Don graduated from high school in 1965.

After graduating from high school in 1965, he joined Richard at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, and then a year later the pair transferred to North Texas State University in Denton. They were still playing in their band, which would go through several personnel and name changes over the next few years. When Jim Ed Norman (currently President of Warner/Reprise Nashville) and Richard’s cousin Mike Bowden joined the band, they changed the name from the Four Speeds to Felicity.

I think Don is especially handsome in the Long Run era (I think that's where this is from???). It reminds me of the part in the HOTE doc near the end when he asks the roadie guys how long they were up until the night before and they say something like 5am (I can't remember exactly) but I thought it showed a nice side of Don being concerned about them. (yeah I know I'm biased - any little reference to my man and I'm a sucker!!!!)

That photo is actually from 1981 when Stevie was recording Bella Donna (the album which features Don on "Leather and Lace" and "The Highwayman"). Close enough, though! lol
