I'd love to see the Skynyrd! And I think they only have one original member left!

Chicago is supposed to come to our amphitheater in October. I'm not really a fan of post Peter, but I wouldn't mind going to see them. I don't know yet.
I saw the Beach Boys at the amphitheater and I didn't really enjoy the venue. Too much echo and you could barely understand what they were saying and singing.
Brothers for life. RIP Glenn
I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
Wow, these last few posts have been a walk down memory lane for me! I saw Bob Seger, Kiss, and Chicago all back in August of 1976. Seger opened for Kiss and played for an hour and a half while Kiss only played for an hour and ten minutes. I had already seen Kiss a few months earlier in Miami. The Chicago concert was at the fairgrounds in Indy and my friend and I were in the front row pressed against the fence separating the stage from the crowd. She caught a drum stick which I will go to my grave saying was meant for me!
After watching the documentary about Lynyrd Skynyrd, I wish I had gone to see them before Ronnie died. I'm listening to their greatest hits album now.
I never went to see the Beach Boys either... funny, but back in the 70's I thought of them as an oldies band.
Everyone enjoy your concerts!
Now you've got me remembering! My Mom and some of her friends went to see the Beach Boys every year for a number of years. They played a concert after a Reds game at Riverfront. She kept trying to get me to go, but I never did. Not because of the "crowd" she hung out with, but because I didn't want to sit through a baseball game to get to a concert.

Shoot nothing close to me yet - crossing my fingers that he'll add more dates and something close. There's nothing on the East coast so far.

Richie Furay is touring with Dave Mason and will be in my hometown on October 7th! So excited! I have to save up, but my friend Jana & I are going to go and hopefully get the seats to the meet & greet with Richie. Both of us are friends with him, but I haven't seen him in a couple of years.

This photo was when I met up with Richie & his son in-law, Tom, when I worked at Disneyland.
