I posted part of this interview in the Poll: Jeans vs. Suits thread. Here's what Joe thinks about the suits.


Not that Walsh is afraid to speak his mind. For instance, he doesn’t dig the stage outfits for this tour—black suits, white shirts and black ties.
“I don’t know exactly why we’re doing it. I guess Glenn came up with it,” said Walsh, who had grown accustomed to wearing whatever he wanted onstage. “You feel a certain way with a suit and a tie on. My problem is my tie gets stuck in my guitars strings and all of a sudden my guitar doesn’t work anymore. I’ve got to get a tie clasp but I never get around to it.”

Folks, if Glenn wants them to wear suits that is what they will wear.

As for Don wearing long sleeves under a short sleeved T shirt, he has done that before, and I don't quite get it.

Totally agree with you. I like what Don his wearing, I think he looks cool. As a matter a fact I think it wouldn't matter for me what he wears, he looks fabulous in anything.:soda:

And yes, it looks like Don has chosen several identical outfits for these shows. When Paul McCartney did his Back In the U.S. tour in 2002 he always wore a red shirt with a black jacket. I'm sure it's easy and helpful for editing a DVD.

I was talking more about Paul when I mentioned the DVD editing. :hilarious: You're right Soda, it wouldn't work very well unless they all did it! I'm not minding Don's look at all - I love it! I think FP mentioned somewhere that she didn't get the long sleeve under the short sleeve but I've seen it done lots of times. In fact, I have a short sleeved orange Fighting Illini t-shirt that I wear over a white long sleeved t-shirt in the wintertime!

I do love the new look (jeans), but does anyone wear black jeans anymore? They were pretty big a while back, but it's been a while.

Not that I'm complaining. I think they all look great and much more like rock stars, but you'd think Don would know what was in and what was out jeans wise. Surely he's been to where ever it is they go to shop for clothes! Case in point, look at Joe's jeans-the look right now in the dark/fade look. Again, I say, Marjorie must be helping him out! The fashionista! :lol:

As far as the short sleeves over the long sleeves, the kids do that around here quite a bit. Especially in fall/winter. The girls also have worn cami's over tank tops. Not for me, but you know how kids do!

Tim and Joe are definently IN style right now. They both wear the boot cut jeans which I LOOOOOVE! I'd love to see Don and Glenn wear that style! They'd look even more fantastic than they already do!!

As far as wearing the same outfits, the guys aren't the only ones who wear the same outfit through a tour. When we saw Martina McBride a couple of years ago, she wore the same outfit through her entire tour. Sugarland did the same. Bon Jovi did as well. Newsong (a Christian band) also does it. Reba & Kelly Clarkson did it on their tour. So I'm pretty sure it's a pretty universal tour thing. They like to keep it similar for all the fans. I think that's another reason they don't vary the setlist. So one city doesn't think the previous city got something better than they did. lol Anyway, I think pretty much every band/artist wears the same thing from show to show.

If they are taping the show for a DVD, it makes it easy to slice and edit two or three nights and make it look like one show if they have on the same outfits. Like they did with FW1

I have no idea if he had more than one copy of that shirt but I assume so. What was interesting was that Glenn wore two shirts I have never seen since. On November 20 he had on a yellow, pink & orange striped shirt and on the 21st he wore a nice purple and grey striped shirt. The other two nights in Sydney he wore the candy striper.

A few pictures in acknowledgement of the Eagles LP anniversary. I can't help but smile when I see these photos. They are adorable. (Even if Don looks like a short-arse!)

Well, I've lurked here for a long time and wanted my first post to be here, in "Celebration of Eagle Hotness".

Just want to say that when they lose the suits, they seem to have a certain freedom. It also lets us know a bit more about them as individuals.

Don't get me wrong. . . I think they also look great in suits, but it's special when they break out of that corporate image and give us their true selves!

Just be gentle and remember I had a birthday last week so I'm old--but did I miss the blue shirt? Maybe I'm just to concentrated on the pink that I couldn't get past it to see the blue?
