ETA: Jackson Browne, JD Souther, and Glenn all have the Desperado photo shoot facial hair going on. Wonder if he's affiliated with that somehow?

I thought of Dan too, but felt exactly the same way Brooke did. However, I went over to his official site, and was surprised to find a couple of pictures of young Dan that I thought resemble this one ...

I honestly don't remember Dan looking like this, so it could be him although I'm still not sure.

Looking at the other guys I'd say the picture was from either 1972 or 1973. I don't think they met Dan until 1974. Plus the eyes don't look like Dan, not to me anyway.

I agree its not David. I've looked up every Eagles associate I could think of and none of them looked like our mystery man. I even pulled up a list of all the artists who were on the asylum record label and checked out all the ones who were on the label in the early seventies and I've still got nothing.

That was at the Walden Woods benefit in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1990. I think the song is I Can't Tell You Why. The article I have says that Glenn 'turned in a simple, dignified blues solo on the song's tail' and as you can see he appears to be playing Old Black. Although Tim played bass for some songs the article doesn't say he did for ICTYW.

So if I'm right he HAS played the solo on that song live, at least once.

Thanks for that tidbit, FP. I'm glad to hear that he has played it at least once. I always thought that he should be the one playing it in concert. He wrote the solo & played it on the original recording so why shouldn't he play it live? I wish he would play more solos in concert.

In honor of today being the anniversary for the release of Tequila Sunrise, I thought I'd post a screencap of the guys performing the song HFO style. I love how Don and Glenn always seem to have such "warm and fuzzy" moments when this song is performed. I know some of you have other examples of this. :wink: :wink:
