Okay FP posted the top 10 Eagles songs that Glenn doesn't sing lead - what are your favorite top 10 EAGLES songs where he does sing or share the lead vocals? Again, I don't know if I can keep it to ten, but here's mine:

2. Peaceful Easy Feeling
3. New Kid In Town
4. Lyin' Eyes
5. Already Gone
6. Take It Easy
7. Doolin-Dalton

This is gonna be harder than the other - the reason I picked Glenn as my favorite is because as I listened to Eagles songs, I realized I liked pretty much everything he sang lead on. There are only two that I cannot stand, both of which are shared with Don and are on the Long Run. Otherwise, I enjoy every one of his vocals. Below, however, are the VERY faves - although I was waffling on a few! So hard to pick!
Here we go, in order of release:
1. Take it Easy
2. Peaceful Easy Feeling
3. Out of Control
4. Tequila Sunrise
5. Outlaw Man
6. Ol' 55
7. Already Gone
8. New Kid in Town
9. Heartache Tonight
10. Seven Bridges Road

Tearing myself away from the avatar for a moment...
I see I didn't put No More Cloudy Days on mine. It definitely deserves a place in the top ten. It's so heartfelt and sincere-sounding. I love it.

OK...can I post my top ten more than once? I just can't pick only ten. :help: I couldn't do that in the other thread with him not singing lead so there's no way I could do this one. I've been having a hard enough time with the survivor game and that limits the number of songs I have to pick from.

Well for the record, here's my top ten also
1. Peaceful Easy Feeling
2. Lying Eyes
3. Already Gone
4. No more Cloudy Days
5. New Kid in Town
6. The Girl from Yesterday
7. Take it to the Limit (aka the credit card song)
8. Take it Easy
9. Tequila Sunrise
10. After the Thrill is Gone.
Also coming in for honourable mention is Desperado from his Live in Dublin gig but I wasn't sure if I could count it, as it wasn't an actual Eagle's gig.

His version of Desperado deserves an honourable mention any time without actually putting it in the list.

Oh gosh - it's a great idea to revive this thread Koala, especially since this discussion was done prior to the release of Long Road Out of Eden. I have to go out and run some errands, but I'm definitely going to have to revise my list to include a few songs from LROOE when I have more time. I think it would also be a good idea to start a similar thread for Don in his forum.
Oh my - so much Eagles, so little time.

This thread has been revived more than once, so don't worry about it, Koala! And sometimes it's nice to "take a walk down memory lane," so to speak. As Dreamer says, now that LROOE has been released, I think I will revise my list a bit when I have a chance (about to head out).

2. Heartache Tonight
3. Lyin' Eyes

5. Tequila Sunrise
6. Peaceful Easy Feeling
7. Take It Easy
8. Good Day In Hell

Wow! I didn't have a signature back in those days!
I love all Glenn's lead vocals on LROOE so much that it would be hard leaving any of them out. Anyway:
1. New Kid In Town
2. Heartache Tonight
3. Lyin' Eyes
4. No More Cloudy Days
5. Tequila Sunrise
6. I Love To Watch A Woman Dance
7. Take It Easy
8. Somebody
9. What Do I Do With My Heart
10. Outlaw Man
I didn't want to leave out It's Your World Now or You Are Not Alone. They are beautifully sung. It is so great to have this stuff. What a shame he is only doing How Long and (occasionally) Somebody live.

Okay, I also had to include several of the LROOE songs. I had to leave off some real gems, of course, and even then it was impossible to keep my list to ten songs. I really did try hard to keep it to ten, but here's the best that I could do:
1. Heartache Tonight
2. New Kid In Town
3. What Do I Do With My Heart
4. Peaceful Easy Feeling
5. Somebody
6. Lyin' Eyes
7. How Long
8. Already Gone
9. Take It Easy
10. Tequila Sunrise
11. After the Thrill Is Gone
12. I Love To Watch a Woman Dance
13. You Are Not Alone

Honorable mention to New Kid in Town, How Long, I Love to Watch a Woman Dance, You Are Not Alone... ok, better stop there before I make this a list of every other Glenn song, lol.

"Get You In the Mood" - now there's one that doesn't make too many lists! I wonder if they'd ever include it in a re-release like Fleetwood Mac did with Silver Springs on the Rumours re-release.

I notice four of SS's list are duets with Don!
I love Get You In The Mood. It isn't the most lyrically advanced song ('I need you baby/you drive me crazy' and 'last girl I hit on wasn't very pretty') but he sings it with such an ache in his voice. :inlove:

Speaking of Doolin-Dalton, ever since the first time I heard that song, I always thought they should have arranged the bridge the same way they would with On The Border, what with each member singing a line. I'll bet they considered it before deciding that Glenn would sing the whole thing. In my mind's ear it would sound something like this:
Don: well the towns laid out across the dusty plains
Bernie: like graveyards filled with tombstones waiting for the names
Randy: and a man could use his back or use his brains
Glenn: but some just went stir-crazy lord, 'cause nothing ever changed
Freypower

I see what you're saying but this verse is telling a story, which the individual lines in On The Border are not - the four singers are just 'making comments'. I see it as a verse, not a bridge (in my opinion this song has no bridge), and I think it would have detracted from the story to have four different people singing it. I am biased of course, as this is my favourite part of the song.

4. Teenage jail
5. New Kid in Town
