I've never seen a picture of him playing one with the Eagles, but the photo I posted was from the Michael Ochs archives (which are now on Getty Images) and appears to be from the same concert as photos of the other band members.

That black and white pic is another new one for me. 8)

That's actually the album cover as well, not just an advert. I love it, it's so clever.

That second one is from the US Festival in 1983. Not sure what grey and white camo would hide him from, perhaps if he were hiding in dirty snow.

I have an idea about the double neck guitar, I remember seeing him play one on In The City at a solo show. Perhaps that's one of the songs he used it for with the Eagles back then, at least for The Long Run tour.

And JF, I agree with you. I've said many times before that Joe was :smokin: in the '70s. However, HFO Joe ain't bad either.

Oh these are wonderful. Thanks again, Soda. It's funny, but the HFO hair is among my favorite looks for almost everyone in the band except Joe. I like Joe's hair longer - about the length he is wearing it now. His hair looked great in Atlantic City. :rockguitar:

Every time I see a picture of Joe I'm reminded of just how much I'd like to meet him. He just seems like he'd be so down to earth and likeable. I remember when one of my assistant managers at Walmart was telling me about the time he was at some festival (I can't remember the name of it) and ran into Joe walking around in the crowd. This was back when Joe was a drinker, as he had a beer in his hand. lol But he said he had never met a nicer, more down to earth star than Joe was. He said that he just stood there and talked for a while as if they'd known each other forever. I thought it was pretty cool and it just made me want to meet him even more. :)

I love that picture of Joe, too. And everytime I hear about someone meeting Joe, I just get all sad cause it reminds me that I was supposed to meet him at the Atlantic City M&G this past August, but it got all screwed up!!!! :weep:

Thanks everyone for all of the sympathy. As I said in another thread, I realize how lucky I am to have had the Eagles experiences that I've had in the past few years. But still, missing Joe's M&G is something that is a bitter pill to swallow. I try to be philosophical about it, and think that for some reason it just wasn't meant to be for me to meet Joe that day - if only it hadn't rained as hard as it did, if only I could have found road signs to get to the casino, if only the traffic hadn't been backed up when I left the welcome center, if only there hadn't been a line at will call when I went to pick up my tickets, if only just ONE of these things hadn't happened, if only the stars had been aligned properly!!!

Oh well, I guess this will always rank up there as one of my most disappointing Eagles experiences, along with missing a HFO show. Who knows, maybe I'll get another chance, and if not, I guess I'm still pretty darn lucky. It reminds me of a line I once heard that says "I can't complain, but sometimes I still do!" :wink: :wink:

I know very little of Marjorie Bach, but I don't believe she's in the public eye except as the sister-in-law of Ringo Starr more than the sister of Barbara Bach, who is fading from public memory as an actress. Indeed, I believe Barbara Bach has not acted in anything since marrying Starr over 25 years ago. (Kudos to them for making it last, BTW!)
