Regarding new photos - we're so spoiled. There have been times like the late 90s when you got a new photo of Glenn once in a blue moon. Now we get antsy if we have to go without for a few months!

Are we spoiled? I don't know. There have been photos and videos of the other 3 Eagles (or just videos in Joe's case with the Trans Siberian Orchestra). There will probably not be any of Glenn until the Eagles shows in April (unless he plays Pebble Beach).

For me it was the early 90s (after Wiseguy, before Strange Weather) when Glenn was so invisible that I honestly gave up, rather than the late 90s.

When he was singing backup on the LRB songs Cool Change & Shadow In The Rain he was awesome - Shadow In The Rain wasn't played at Expo and I only have it on an old audio tape but you can hear him clearly during the bridge.

While on this theme I may as well post the only photo I've ever seen of him with Bob Seger. Back in the days when I had hardly any photos I used to stare at this one all the time.

I've noticed that he often wears this in concert. He joked about it in one video on YouTube. Don't know if it's still there or which city they were in. He was also wearing it duing the "Hole In The World" video. It looks like a bandage to me too, but it looks heavier than the ones he wore in concerts. They looked more like gauze wrapped around his wrist.

You're probably right, Dreamer. I studied those pictures & looked at some more in a couple of videos on YouTube that showed pictures of them (in later years) & Glenn set to a couple of songs from No Fun Aloud and it very well could be them. Looking at Glenn's hair, the time period would be right.

Yep, since I was a fan when they first got started, I'm more partial to that look...minus all the facial hair and long hair. Henley always looked good with the curly mop, didn't go for the beard cuz it hid his dimpled chin. Randy looked like a little boy, Bernie was ok with me, but Glenn didn't match his long hair, he has a very strong masculine face and the hair hid that. He looks much better...TO ME. I know you younger ones love the long haired look though.

I'm not sure I qualify as "younger" now that I'm over 30, but I'll throw in my two cents.

I think Glenn is an attractive man regardless of hair length. That said, the super-long hair... well... it doesn't really do it for me. I like the more masculine look as well. However, I don't like the other extreme either - the super-short hair. The man is blessed with gorgeous hair. He should work it. 1994 length = perfection.

That last one, the HFO look, was as close to perfection as it comes. Glenn really looked great. As for over 30, that's just a kid to me, as I'm the same age as our idols, lol, but they're ageless to me, thanks to the DVDs that keep them forever young.

The first pix with that long curly hair didn't do it for me, even when I was young, just never was into long hair on a guy. The 2nd pix was too short, so looks like we agree on something:). I always admired his strong features.

Theoretically, I agree with Soda about Glenn's various hair lengths. The HFO hair is undoubtably perfection. But then, everytime I make such a blanket statement someone comes along and posts an incredibly hot picture of him with long or short hair that makes me gasp and say DAMN!

I have always said that I like what he looks like at the current period - I've said that for 30 years. The long hair period was way before my time. Sometimes there are good moments with it, but for the most part long haired Glenn is not 'my Glenn'.

I know people think HFO was 'close to perfection' or whatever but that was 16 years ago. He has aged since then and his hair is less wavy BUT..... he still looks good to me. I just can't say that the HFO era was his 'best period' as others do although I understand where they are coming from.

I think if he is going to insist on wearing a suit the shirt looks better tucked in. I think this looks a bit weird.

If he goes untucked he has to lose the jacket and tie to make it work, as well as unbutton a couple buttons (one can't button shirts all the way to the chin without a tie). It would also have to hang a bit more loosely.

Of course Glenn has aged - and he's aged well. But I do prefer the HFO hair and style. Does this mean I think he looks bad now? No.

But I'm not going to pretend I think the suit is hot. It reminds me too much of my dad, who wore conservative suits very much like that to work every day as upper-level management; now that he's retired, he wears them to church.

It's true that Glenn is much more handsome than my father (no offense to Dad, he's not ugly, he just doesn't look like Glenn). Still, the association is there thanks to the suit, and it's quite the turn-off. JMHO.

He has been wearing suits since the start of his solo career. It is not as if we'd never seen it before. If that is what he prefers to wear I am not going to criticise it.

As I said, this is entirely a matter of personal opinion and we are all entitled to our own preferences.

To be honest I love Glenn :heart: in all his different attires including the suits. I mean he blew me away in Dublin in the casual outfit (fuschia shirt etc) ....

....but he did again in London in 2008 in the suit. I think the major thing about the suits now is that to many people they are too repetetive. It was great in Ireland last year to see one 'suited' gig and one 'casual' gig.

Just - one of those 'don't hate me because I'm beautiful' moments.As far as I can remember he didn't EVEN introduce himself in London although he DID intro everybody else and Tim didn't introduce him either. I thought it was perhaps a case of 'first show nerves' and that he had been somehow forgotten. I think the idea of Tim introducing him only came in later on in the tour. Can anybody else remember from their shows?

Thanks to all of you for being wonderful friends, for sharing in the good times and being there during the not so good ones. You are all wonderful friends. :grouphug: I love logging in in the mornings or evenings to see how everybody is and what exciting tidbits about our boys have been posted. I feel my day isn't complete without at least ONE visit to the Border. Of course my 2 ambitions still exist, and I hope to realise at least the first one some time soon.
