I hate to split the vote on our "Save In Roxy's Eyes" campaign, but since Down By the River is immune, I suggest Make You Feel My Love. It's magnificent, but it's not as original as Something Sad. Tons of people have covered Make You Feel My Love, but there's only one Something Sad.

I cast my vote for Make You Feel My Love and I hope other supporters of both In Roxy's Eyes and Something Sad do the same!

MYFML is a beautiful song :heart: and I haven't yet heard a version that I like better than Timothy's (nor can I imagine hearing one that's covered better) but the apparent main contender at least so far this round, In Roxy's Eyes, is even more special to me because lyrically and stylistically, it's an 'all Timothy song'. Out of interest, how many of you have heard Dylan's version? I understand that you obviously will all prefer Tim, but as a Dylan tragic I think the original is the best (I also have Bryan Ferry's version of the song).

Side note-Just found out that Dylan is going to be in concert in South Bend along with John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson on July 4th. Wow - IMVHO - it is WAY past time for this song to go! I am, obviously, missing the appeal that it has for some of you. I would like to make a comment about this game, hoping I don't offend anyone. Unlike the other Eagles' solo careers, until this game started I had never heard one single song in this game (except for the covers I had heard by other artists). This is not an insult to Timothy's solo work. The only reason I'm bringing it up is because there is not one 'hit', that I am aware of anyway, that would obviously be a favorite among all of us. Because of that, this is a very interesting competition. I am absolutely clueless as to how this will all turn out!

A few were seen on MTV like Playin' It Cool, Was It Just The Moonlight and Boys Night Out but we figured a lot of you may not have heard of any of the others and hoped this has introduced you guys to some new music you like. I have my speculation on how it will turn out and I know how I want it to turn out. I think it will be a difference of the final song for me. I think I've made myself clear above what I want to win.

Dreamer--Everyone is different. SS is in my top 4 favorite songs and was a fave a couple years ago but it has changed a bit since. I just think it's a beautiful song and the words have so much feeling in them for me. (I will also be addressing you in the Music We Love To Share thread about Zep :-(:hilarious:). Again, just a difference of opinion. That's what makes these games so much fun!

Well, I am finally able to predict something right in this game. :lol: I thought it would come down to these two songs, and that it would be close. So, as I often do, I am going to go with the more "up tempo" song ...

Sorry this is late. I had all the votes tallied and written out as well as all the votes from past rounds (thanks PM), and accidentally closed the window so I had to start over.

Anyway, it was very close. Both songs received the same amount of votes this round, and both songs received the same amount of prior votes... up until the round before this one where one of them got done in.

I also learned some new things so even if my song lost I still gained something and lets face it it really was a win win situation :). I really hope we can do something like this again sometime!

Congratulations to The Shadow. I am definitely not surprised that it won, even though I wanted Every Song Is You to win. I know this is just a pet peeve of mine, but I hate that the game ended in a tie. I would have preferred an outright victory. I don't like ties. :wink: It was an interesting game though with lots of unpredictable rounds.
