VH1 is replaying the documentary of Warren Zevon's final days on which Don Henley and Timothy B. Schmit appear. Joe Walsh is also shown for a second. Have you guys seen this? It really is moving. When Timothy hugs him, it's very sweet. They only appear for a few minutes, so I wouldn't say you should see this just to see them, but the show really makes you think about how important it is to "enjoy every sandwich."

For people who haven't heard the last album Warren recorded before his death, The Wind, please do so. Don plays drums on Dirty Life and Times (a rare excursion for him these days, on another artist's album), he and Tim sing on She's Too Good For Me and Joe contributes a classic slide performance on Rub Me Raw. Add an achingly sad Knockin' On Heaven's Door, and Keep Me In Your Heart - what a sad loss.

Yikes, I missed Don hugging him. That's what happens when you attempt to multitask while watching TV!
"Keep Me in Your Heart" is absolutely beautiful. Makes me tear up.

Thank you for the link, Eaglesfans. It's awesome. I'd never heard of Warren Zevon until I met husband in 1984 - he introduced me to a lot of music, including a certain J Walsh.

I got introduced to Warren though Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. They appeared on a couple of his albums, which I purchased and love. Stevie also covered a song by Warren, "Reconsider Me," on which Don sings backup.

I recommend the live album Learning To Flinch, some of which was recorded in my home town of Newcastle, New South Wales - specificallyl Piano Fighter, at the Cambridge Hotel. Good grief. And Jungle Work was done at St Marys Leagues Club, near Penrith in western Sydney!
Glenn, Don and Joe are on Bad Luck Streak In Dancing School - Glenn and Don sing on Wild Age, Glenn is on Bill Lee ('and sometimes I say things I shouldn't) and Don is on Gorilla, You're A Desperado along with Jackson and J.D. Joe is on Jeannie Needs A Shooter.

I caught the last ten minutes of this on Saturday -- didn't even realize it was on. I was totally disappointed and really want to see the entire show. What I did see of it really choked my up. I've been a fan of Warren's since back in the Werewolves of London days. I, too, highly recommend The Wind.

If you really want to see it badly, Z, you can actually buy it on DVD. It's called "InsideOut: Warren Zevon - Keep Me in Your Heart."

I saw Warren Zevon here in Buffalo at the Tralfamadore Cafe back in the mid to later '80s. He was awesome! Loved it! I've always loved Werewolves of London!
