No question about it in my mind - longer hair Don is better. The Toronto length is good. It's funny, but I loved Glenn's long '70's hair, and even like Joe's hair long like he wore it in the late '70's, but I didn't care much for long-haired Don as in the End of the Innocence days.


Tim goes without saying. He wouldn't be the same with short hair, IMO. Tim - we know it's a pain to take care of every day, but PLEASE do not cut your hair. Z, maybe you could be a dear and find someone who would be willing to take care of Tim's hair for him. :twisted:

Glenn must like that shirt and purple jacket as well. He wore it in Atlantic City too. It seems to me that it shows up quite often. It seems to be one of the few outfits that he wears when performing solo and with the Eagles.

The Salinas 2005 was the show I went to--thanks so much for posting those, Nancy!

What great memories---we accidentally got there early enough to hear the sound check from the gate, and I talked to one of the security men who actually drove the Eagles there from the airport. I met Selena in Salinas that night too. I was searching through the crowd shots to see if we turned up in any of them, but no luck.

That trip to California was one of my all-time favorite vacations. I had never been there before, and sightseeing through San Francisco, the Sonoma wine country, Monterey, and Salinas--plus seeing the guys, of course---was absolute heaven.

2005 was definitely my big Eagles year. I saw the Eagles in March, Don & Stevie in June, saw the Eagles again in CAL in August, and met Don at UNT in September. Pardon me while I recall some reeeeeeally great memories.... <sigh>

In comparison, 2006 has been one long dry spell, broken only by enjoying Joe with the James Gang in August. Bring on the tour schedules for 2007, guys! I AM READY!!

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that in that last Dec 4 04 photo the stare was similar to the one I got during Funk #49 - but as you can see he's looking off to his right, and I was a bit further towards the centre. He did look good in the black shirt/white T shirt. Sigh. And Tim looked good in the tight black T shirt too!

I've never thought about the members of the band in the 70s. Maybe I was too young. The only guy who I knew was Don Henley but I didn't knew he is an Eagle. I always thought he is a country singer. :blush:

I knew that Don played the Timothy White tribute concert but I had never seen a write-up of it. What a great find, and what a night that must'vre been! Next to Don, Sting is my very favorite, and to have seen the two of them plus Buffett, Sheryl & everyone else would've been heaven. Wish I could've been in that audience.

TF, it's always exciting to find something new. Don and Tim are both looking good there! I like music by the Police and Dire Straits as well, but for overall talent, I agree that Mark Knopfler deserves more recognition.

There was a time near the end of the solo years where it seems Don did these type of shows almost non-stop. Glenn, on the other hand, did precisely none of them. I've never seen any photos of Glenn with any famous musicians outside the 'California country rock mafia' crowd - and yet he took Deacon to the Cream reunion and talked to Daviid Gilmour backstage.
