I remember you telling us about that in Niagara Falls which happens to be 9 years ago this week! I will always remember the first time I saw Glenn  singing 2 live solo shows. Unforgettable!

Its already a year since myself, Soda, Dreamer and Houston Babe met up in Houston for the weekend and attended Joe's Vets Aid show. It was a brilliant weekend and Joe and his friends put on a spectacular show lasting about 6 hours. Its was a priviledge too to meet Soda's lovely parents who had us to stay in their home for the weekend.

Its a very different world now, only a year later but we hold strong in the hope that better days are ahead and that we will manage to meert up again when things are back to Normal.

Amen to both of you. This year is the only time in the last 15 years that I did not go on multiple Eagles-related trips. It sucks and I can't wait until we can get together again for another excellent Eagles adventure.

4 years ago today, I saw Don in Austin, Texas at the Moody Theater (aka where Austin City Limits is filmed). I started with a trip to see Don's hometown in Linden and then see him in Austin and Sugar Land. It was a great 4 days.

Shun - I'm glad you and Soda were able to go to an Eagles-related show together.

And as I do every year lately, I have to mention that today is the 14th anniversary of the night Soda, PLS, and myself were invited to meet up with Glenn, his daughter, Taylor, and Tommy Nixon after Glenn's solo show in Niagara Falls. Without a doubt, my most memorable Eagles experience ever. I still miss Glenn every day.

I just referenced my 2014 HOTE concert experience in another thread and I got to thinking about it.

I certainly miss going to see this band. I am grateful I got to see them on the LROOE and HOTE tour, for a total of two times. I would be envious of those who went more often, but then I remember those who never got to see them with Glenn and wanted to and are deciding not to go now and it makes me feel blessed to be able to say I saw Glenn.

A thousand "Amens" to that, Austin. I will be forever grateful that I was able to see The Eagles as many times as I did.

Just seeing this.

Absolutely! I got to see them twice - twice more than I did and frankly twice more with Glenn than a lot of people. I don't take it lightly.

This is from a Facebook post showing a Monroe, La. newspaper article of Eagles appearing at the local college 50 years ago this week. This venue only holds around 7,000. Comments mention that they appeared at the college in Ruston, La the next night (only 35 miles away)! It was so much easier (not to mention cheaper) to be a groupie back then!
Setlist said that they opened with Desperado, after which Henley commented, "Don't ever eat a bunch of catfish before you have to sing!".

Thanks for that FF. I often think about the irony of how I could never afford $7.00 - $10.00 for a ticket to see the band in the '70's ... lucky me - I had to wait until the price of a ticket was hundreds of $$$ before I was able to see my first of many shows. But, the good news is that I don't have one single regret. :grooving:

I am very thankful I got to see the actual Eagles twice. I know some that saw them that many times in one week. However I will never complain as I know that is 2x more than most people got to see them, let alone with Glenn. I will cherish those shows forever.
