Nice screencaps again, wc. Honestly though, the HFO era is not my favorite look for Joe. Although, he looks healthy and sober, which is a very good thing, he didn't look like Joe - the rock star. To me, he looked more like Joe - the professor. :thumbsdown: :lol:

Had to wait until it appeared and then interrupt the display with my screen cap and block this thing off. In all, I had about 3 seconds to do it <LOL> but I caught it for you guys.

Seems kinda strange that he'd be using a slide on that choice Carvin guitar!

Other photo captions got it right in naming him a Musician though. And, I guess that with his appearances on the Drew Carry comedy and in Blues Bros, he qualifies as an actor!

Looks to me like he is cutting up with a Carvin (probably a DC6) in this image.

Even things we say today had a different meaning back in the 60's.

If someone said "He's Cool" or "Is he Cool" the reference was to whether he or she "got high". Were they "safe" to be around.

By the same token, "He's Heavy" or "Is he Heavy" was an opposite reference and often was used to identify Narks. A Nark was someone who gave information to Law Enforcement agencies about someone who used or sold drugs including weed.

That kind of puts into perspective the Beatles tune "He Ain't Heavy, He's my Brother."

There was an entire sub-culture's vernacular employed back then. As, I am sure, there is today.

Amen, bro. When I got to see them and had 2nd row right in front of Joe, I was blown away by the sound thru the air of this guitar. I could hear it "non-amplified" and it was beautiful. The sound of his 12-string wasn't too shabby either....boy that brings me back, what a show that was....

Tacoma is out of business now. They were a Portland, Oregon company who was bought out by Fender with the intention to moving the production to somewhere in the North East. To the best of my knowledge, Fender never resumed manufacture of these unique guitars. On eBay, the ones being sold are getting a very good price as others discover their worth.

Joe got his "Shocker Shirt" on (Wichtia State University...WSU). Don't know why...he was born here in Wichita but they moved off when he was pretty young. He certainly didn't go to school at Wichita State <LOL>
