This is something I just did for the site and I figured I would post it here, too. It's basically a summary of "This Year in Eagles." Did I forget anything?
Wow, hard to believe all of this happened just this past year!
January: Takamine puts out a Glenn Frey Signature Guitar (http://www.takamine.com/?fa=detail&mid=2372&sid=63); Eagles play some dates in the South.
February: "I Dreamed There Was No War" wins a Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental.
March: Eagles play some dates in Canada and the Midwest.
April - Timothy B. Schmit performs with some of his old Poco band mates at the Stagecoach Festival for the first time since he left the band; Don Henley files a lawsuit against Republican candidate Charles DeVore over use of the songs The Boys of Summer and All She Wants To Do Is Dance in his campaign.
May: Eagles play "Race to Erase MS" benefit; Don Henley does a few solo shows in Florida and Oklahoma.
June: Very Best of Don Henley (http://www.amazon.com/Very-Best-Don-Henley-DVD/dp/B0028NSE0K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1252907664&sr=1-1) CD/DVD released; Eagles tour Europe; Glenn Frey is inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends "Hall of Fame".
July: Clear Channel launches Eagles Radio (http://www.iheartradio.com/cc-common/news/sections/special/eagles.html) hosted by Joe Walsh; Eagles continue touring in Europe and the United Kingdom.
October: Timothy B. Schmit's album Expando (http://www.amazon.com/Expando-Timothy-B-Schmit/dp/B002NPUCQ2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1253038235&sr=8-1) is released and he begins his first solo tour EVER. He also gets an official MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/timothybschmit), Facebook (http://facebook.com/timothybschmit), and Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/timothybschmit1).
November: Don Henley plays a spate of solo dates with an "autumnal" theme.
December: Eagles announce first-ever dates at the Hollywood Bowl, set to take place in April; more California dates forthcoming.
