These are always fun. My local classic rock station has put out another poll featuring the Eagles. This one is What is the best classic rock song that was written about drinking booze? Tequila Sunrise is on the list but it's only got 6.1% of the votes right now.

Btw, I didn't get the chance to post about this over Christmas but they had a poll about the best classic rock Christmas songs and of course Please Come Home For Christmas was included. I don't know which song won that poll but I know that when I voted for our guys they were in the lead.

And also, is there any other song with an alcoholic beverage named after it? There's not one that I can think of at the moment. I've had a Tequila Sunrise before. It's pretty darn good.

Well - I just tried to help out the cause. Already Tequila Sunrise has jumped up to over 12.6% probably thanks to Jess posting this link here. I'll vote often if I can. Honestly, I'm surprised that Margaritaville isn't doing better in the poll. I think that is one of the most recognizable drinking songs ever.

Don't worry - they'd be delighted Peek was drawing attention to their site. That's the whole purpose of those polls.

Just voted again and our boys now have a 31.1 lead. It was a little higher, but the poll let me vote again, so I cast a sympathy vote for Margaritaville. :wink:

I agree tbsf. As a matter of fact, ever since Tequila Sunrise got a commanding lead, I've been voting for Margaritaville to show it some respect. Even though it remains a distant second, it still has a significant lead over all of the other songs.

Well - the poll is still up on the site. As of now, Tequila Sunrise has 44.6% of the vote with Margaritaville in 2nd place with 22.2%.

Well I just went over to check out the poll, and it has been replaced with another one that doesn't feature the Eagles. I presume that our guys won this easily with about 45% of the vote. Good job, Us! :wink:
