Yep - looks like it may be time for ltl’s medication. :lol: I think it’s very possible that Parachute may go all the way. It’s true that it has been getting some votes in the prior rounds, but it’s only from about 3 or 4 people. It hard to say though because any of the three songs that remain after this round are worthy of winning the game. And FP, I was somewhat taken aback about your remark that you aren’t a ‘real’ Tim fan. Even though Timothy is not my favorite Eagle, I certainly still consider myself a real fan of his and all of the guys. Maybe that’s just me though. Since ‘A Good Day’ doesn’t need my vote for elimination, I will vote for the future …

Humph... A Good Day is gone. :depressed: My favorite song. TBS may have said that "they" were trying to get Parachute on the radio... but "TBS" said he wanted to end the CD on a high note. Timothy himself picked AGD, because he knows it's awesomeness!

I had a feeling that Parachute would win this game, but I hoped not. I wasn't asking for it to go first... but all the way... ugh... :sigh:

Well, as I said before, I love all three of these songs and voting any of them off just doesn't seem right. BUT, it has to be done - them's the rules. I've gone back and relistened to them several times, and while I have my favorite, it's very close and I won't be disappointed no matter which song wins this game. But, I am going to stick with my original plan ... so, by just a smidgeon ...

I agree with Dreamer's sentiments...I won't be upset or offended by any of the remaining songs still standing by the end of the game. I love them all, and all deserve to win. I've listened and re-listened, and it probably depends on my mood. However, my vote is going to the song that didn't catch my attention until hearing it live (when it really ROCKED!) However, this is an album survivor game, not a live concert survival game. So, only because I have to vote for something, I cast my vote for Friday Night.

That statement got my attention and you are so very right!!! Don't get me wrong, I like it also on the album BUT it is at least 10x better live! Now that I look back a bit, I think I've kinda been using both as a reference to make my decisions. Oops! I hope I don't get kicked off for breaking the rules. :hilarious:

And you guys are right---I wouldn't be devastated no matter what song ends up winning----This is a win/win situation for me all the way around! And just think of how many times I've had to force myself to listen again and again to make my decisions. A girl has to do what a girl has to do- all for the sake of the game. :hilarious:

The thing that always gets me into these games is not just the winner, but the fact that I want my faves to stick around longer than the ones I deem inferior to them! The more invested you are in a game, the more fun it is to play... unless you freak out if the results aren't what you hoped.

I remember when "Take It to the Limit" got eliminated before the title track of One of These Nights when we did that Survivor back in 2007... It was the first time a majority of the players were involved in strategic voting, and folks who wanted "Lyin' Eyes" to win knew that it would be assured a victory if "One of These Nights" was the song against "Lyin' Eyes" in the final two. I was like "NO!!!! That's my fave! 'One of These Nights' is nowhere near as awesome as 'Take It to the Limit' NO, NOOO!!!!" lol

Had to make a concerted effort to chill after that. ;)

I have to say, the only "real" surprise "I" had in this game... is that Friday Night lasted longer than A Good Day. I honestly thought the last three standing would have been AGD, SP and P. While P clearly isn't my favorite, I did peg it for the win. Looks like it's heading that way. Although, if a sudden upset happened and SP took the lead, I'd be okay w/that! :thumbsup::hilarious:

First of all, I'd like to thank my MIL for letting me get on her computer to vote. My computer has a virus, so I'm not sure when you'll hear from me next.

I'm sad to see that Friday Night didn't make it to the final. Although my head told me Parachute was the better song, my heart kept going back to FN.

Parachute is a perfect song, IMO. It has everything going for it - great tune, great vocals and great guitar.

Unless there's a sudden surge of Secular Praise voters, Parachute looks to take the win. Even still, of the two remaining songs, I have really loved SP from the start. Not that I don't really like Parachute, I do. I can totally picture the Eagles doing this song live in concert. It's just that there's something about SP that just really touched me from the get go so I vote for Secular Praise for the win.

Well, I actually thought this final round was going to be a bit closer than it has turned out to be. As I said before, I think Expando is a great album overall, and I really enjoy all of the tracks. However, IMO, there is one song that stands out slightly above all the others, so that's the one I am voting for to win the game ...

Sorry to hear this, Pm. I have the same problem at work. Friday I got this pop up that my computer was infected. It looked like my anti-virus software was going to block it, but it turned out that that was the virus! Beware everyone. I tried running spybot to fix it, but it didn't look like that helped. I won't know more till I get back to work tomorrow. This thing is disguising itself as some kind of internet explorer thing that makes you think it's ok. Watch for it. :worried:

Awesome - congratulations to Parachute! My involvement in this game has been sketchy at best, due to laptop issues, but I love this album and I'm thrilled that one of my two favourites won. (If you're wondering - Parachute and Downtime.) It's been fun reading all the differing opinions. Tim's definitely given us a fab album to discuss and enjoy listening to over and over again! Now, if only the Eagles would decide to perform Parachute live... It would ROCK.

I had hoped this round would be closer, but that just wasn't in the cards. I take no issue with Secular Praise coming in second. It's a "deep" song and I love that so many appreciate it.

Well, this turned out to be a fun and spirited Survivor game. It usually is that way when there is such good material for us to debate. Although, as I said earlier, I think several songs were worthy of winning this, I believe the best all-around song was the survivor. The song has it all ... great lyrics, great music, great melody, and great vocals and harmonies.
