LTL, you're right about the 'turning to mush' -- Lord knows I have a tendency to MELT when I hear him sing. Of course, at the Thanksgiving Eve concert in Worcester my granddaughter brought me back to reality with her 'sing-along'! I was torn between who to watch: Timothy because he's so gorgeous or Liv because she was so danged funny!

ENLISTING YOUR HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay everyone, I'm counting on all of you to come thru on this. My hobby is needlepoint and I do "portraits" (although they can be tricky) and my next portrait project is -- you guessed it!

I'm looking for the best of the best head-shots of Timothy, preferably without a microphone blocking his face. While I would love to use the close-up I posted here yesterday, it's black & white and trying to convert it to color isn't easy. I need a FULL SCREEN shot that is clear because I'll have to print it in order to make the pattern.

Okay, let's have it. If it's already posted here, bring it forward. Once I've got several to choose from I'll narrow it down and put my final 3 choices up for a vote so this is your project as well as mine. Portraits from a home-made pattern are time-consuming but I promise to keep everyone posted on my progress and will put a copy of the finished product up here for everyone to see.

Dreamer, I LOVE your choice! Features are very defined and clear which would make a great pattern. Of course I'll share it......just be aware that 'portrait' needlepoints are time-consuming and it will take me a few months to finish. In the meantime.......

Thanks to all for your photo suggestions. Unfortunately I will probably have to rule out anything from a performance because they tend to be less clear. Right now I'm leaning toward the picture that Dreamer put up and the one below because when I resize them they don't get grainy. But I'm still looking for suggestions so keep them coming. (Now could someone tell me how I can attached multiple pictures to an entry? I'm having trouble with that!)

GREAT TIE! GREAT PICTURES! We never get tired of looking at this tall, cool drink of gorgeous, do we? And speaking of pictures, I really appreciate the input I've been getting on my project. Right now I'm leaning toward two photos in particular but I'm still looking for more ideas. I've been meaning to say this before. Since we started the anniversary of Long Run I have been using that background. Is it just me, or do a LOT of the pictures seem so much more vivid on that background? Anyone else notice that?

Yes - I think the black background of the Long Run board style lends a striking contrast to the photos, making the colors stand out more.
