Take away a song-replace it with another!

In light of this ongoing setlist discussion, I thought it would be interesting to see if we could make 1 or 2 changes, which songs each of us would replace and which song it would be replaced with. You have to REMOVE a song to add one and no more than 2 songs can be taken out and added. Doesn't matter if it's one of the LROOE songs or an old hit. I think it will be interesting to see if everyone here would rather hear the hits or more new stuff.

Since they have added 7BR, which would of been my first change, the next on my list that they haven't played for awhile is obvious to me. Taking one out to replace it with is the difficult problem.

Remove---Witchy Woman
Add-------Best Of My Love

Remove---Rocky Mountain Way
Add-------New Kid In Town

Remove Busy Being Fabulous and add Somebody

Willie, the problem is I don't think you should have limited this to just two songs cause I can think of several more changes I would make i.e. take out No More Walks in the Wood and replace with Tequila Sunrise or take out All She Wants To Do Is Dance and replace it with You Belong To the City. :wink: :wink:

And yes, I did replace everything with Glenn songs because in case anybody didn't notice, I have been on a rant lately about the current set list being rather Frey-challenged. So this is for you Glenn. :hug:

Frey-challenged needs to be added to the Borderisms.

I limited to 2 because I knew we all had more than 2 so this made it a little more challenging. Like that's ever stopped any of us from adding more than expected before. ;)

The first thing that comes to mind is to ADD You Belong In The City. Can't think of anything I'd really want them to drop! I'll have to give this more thought.

I would only exchange one song. I would take out "Funk 49" (sorry Joe fans!:wink:) and replace it with "You Belong to the City". For the life of me, I can't figure out why that song ever got dropped!:headscratch:

Okay, I gave this a lot of thought and it was really hard to do just two, but them's the rules (Dreamer)! Tomorrow it will probably change.

Of course they would have to do some tweaking with the order.

I'm sorry, I've never liked No More Walks In The Woods. I don't like the melody. It's not melodic enough for me.

Even me, Ballad Girl, would prefer to keep Walk Away over PM. I guess it's a strange choice for me too, as I wouldn't care if they dropped all solo material either... which "should" make me go w/PM. I like it... but WA is such a great song!

Joe only has four "Eagle songs" - Pretty Maids, In The City, Guilty of the Crime and Last Good Time. And I guess you can include One Day at a Time from F1.

Now if we're moving away from the original topic rules, which were two songs only, I would prefer to keep In The City and Walk Away, but replace Life's Been Good and Funk 49 with Pretty Maids and One Day At A Time. And as I already posted, I would rather hear Last Good Time In Town than Guilty of the Crime. But these are obviously my own personal choices. I know the crowd gets into Life's Been Good and Funk 49. They are just not favorites of mine.

I've always thought TIE should end the shows. I'd rather go home feeling upbeat than depressed. That's not to say that I don't like Desperado because I love it. Just not for the closer.

And I agree about RMW and ASWTDID.
