I have been happy with his hair length for the past couple of years. The only time I wasn't so keen was when it was really short, but I saw it twice in that style. I'm not really expecting him to grow it back to HFO length.

Those are great, Troub, but I've just been staring at those Chula Vista pics again. With Glenn's hair longer like this, it is very reminiscent of Hell Freezes Over to me. Now, listen up Glenn - you could do a lot worse than Hell Freezes Over - you hear me!!!

Everyone knows my favorite looks era for Glenn is the 70's long hair with handlebar 'stache, but he looks heavenly now, too, and I would definitely cringe if he made a return to that.

My goodness, I too have been away from this thread for far too long. Since I would overheat if I commented on every photo let me just say that I LOVE all of them, new and old. And yes, I would agree that the 15 year difference between HFO and now is only a time difference. IMHO Glenn :heart: looks just as hot now as he did then. He hasn't really changed! Has he?

It was not exactly the height of rock star credibility posing for those photos. It coincided with South Of Sunset. It wasn't a good period.

Here's the Penthouse article/photo spread (http://www.glennfreyonline.com/articles/Penthouse93.pdf) (in .pdf form).

I don't think South of Sunset and its promotional articles such as this were so terrible; they weren't "rock star" but Glenn wasn't trying to be "rock star." He was trying to venture out into other areas. He must have known there would be people snickering about "Glenn Frey, actor/model" but he apparently didn't give a crap - he did what he wanted no matter what. Gotta respect that.

On the other hand, I'm not gung-ho about the publication Penthouse, but I just try to put that out of my mind when enjoying the photos.

His refusal to be 'stereotyped' and to 'go his own way' if you like has always been what I have most admired about him, although I think nowadays he carries the 'self-effacement' bit too far.

I can tell which song is being sung in some photos but not others. I think this is an interesting suggestion but some choices would be too obvious (The Long Run) while some might be too hard to tell (Lyin' Eyes or PEF, RMW or LBG).

Well, I have a theory about the reason that we are seeing the guys dress in the same clothes so often here lately. Well, I have a theory about the reason that we are seeing the guys dress in the same clothes so often here lately. Maybe they are going to put out another DVD, but instead of using footage from just three shows like they did for F1, they are going to use clips from some or all of the shows from this leg of the tour. Just a thought. :pray:

If they do the DVD that I have been talking about and Dreamer mentioned here, it wouldn't really matter if their clothes are identical for every single song. It would be implied that the performances are from different shows.

As I've mentioned before, I have a McCartney DVD that does just that, and also shows things like the convoy of buses going down the highway, the roadies doing the set up, rehearsals, and even Paul talking with fans and people who work at the venues. It's great for the die hard fan who wants to see the "behind the scenes" stuff as well as the performances.
