My husband didn't mind but I am dreading telling my mother, who I am having lunch with on Friday. She won't be happy. That's it, I'm afraid. I lead a very quiet, sheltered life.

No! My husband didn't either. In fact he is very supportive of the idea, for which I am extremely grateful, as he will be effectively carrying the family can for the week! I imagine my Moms reaction will be that I'm crazy, but in a nice sort of way! I won't tell the kids until nearer the time, and at any rate not before we get home form Portugal.

Well, I say kudos to you, Julie (and everyone else) who is making the trip to see Glenn in such a spectacular part of the world. You only live once, and I can guarantee you won't regret it. I hope all family members and friends are as easy on you as possible... They just don't get the Glenn Love. ;)

I've got to say, I'm only checking The Border out on my phone tonight because I'm (ahem) working, but those pictures FP posted on the last page are absolutely stunning - especially the first one of Glenn in the blue jeans and black jumper. He looks so masculine and handsome!

In celebration of 7,000 posts (I can't quite believe I've managed to write that many!), seven of my personal favourites of each of the guys... It's a good job I've got all afternoon. ;)

I just want to say, yet again, how thankful I am to have found this community. I have gained so much from The Border and I have made friendships that will last a lifetime. I love that picture, Whitcap. I love seeing the age progression. He's hot at any age, but you can clearly see his passion for the song in both shots. Nice to see he hasn't lost it -- even after 40 years and countless performances.

I agree with you on all counts, EK. He's too handsome to cover his face with a beard & mustache or long hair. That being said, some of the pictures of him with a mustache & long hair are smokin'. I do wish that he would play more piano in concert. I hope he will in Niagara Falls, but I imagine the most that he might play is You Belong To The City. I'll take what I can get though!!

Well you're doing a very good job of posting EK!

unfortunately, having caught Glenn :heart: s eye on both evenings, I didn't want to risk annoying him or anybody else (security) by taking out my camera. I semi regret it now. I DO have pics that I will get up on the Fallsview thread as soon as possibly I can ( tomorrow night is the first night I'll be on my own since I got home last week).

The only thing I'll say in favour of NOT taking gig pics was that in making the decision just to put the camera away, it allowed me to focus solely on Glenn :heart: and the gig and the overall atmosphere of it, and become fully immersed in what was going on on the stage, rather then thinking about getting the 'perfect shot'. Indeed, I was so engrossed in Glenn :heart: that I even forgot about photography!

I'm still not altogether sure! All I've done is what you see in my sig. For work, I just need a screen capture tool, and if the background is solid, you can supposedly change it or make it disappear. You can capture with fuzzy and transparent edges. You can do some edits with the tool (as opposed to most freeware where you capture it and use something else to edit). My boss tried to tell me it was free. It's only free for 30 days. Maybe search on it and look at the tutorial before downloading it (I didn't look at the tutorial yet).

Whenever I see that picture of Glenn and Janie, I always think that they didn't look very happy:-(....what year did they marry and divorce?

I'm struck by the fact that Glenn looks much happier in that picture with Henley from the same night than he does with Plaintiff.

I've always gotten that vibe too from that picture. And I also feel that Plaintiff doesn't look too happy either in it. They look like a couple who have had a serious argument or difference of opinion shortly before the function. And they are just trying to put on a show of everything being ok for the cameras. JMHO.

Compare it with how he looks when he is accompanied by Cindy to the various functions that they attend......

And while I was in Photobucket, I went ahead and grabbed a copy of this. I agree that Glenn looks a lot happier in most of the pictures you see of him and Cindy than he did with Janie. Guess that explains why Cindy is still Mrs. Frey and Janie is plaintifl. :lol:

Thanks for pointing out Tom Nixon in those pics, Dreamer. I've seen these pics before but didn't know who anyone was except Glenn. In my dream, Tom was just some random guy with graying hair and glasses dressed in a suit. Still, I somehow knew who he was.

I'm almost positive the first three are from Glenn and Joe's "Party of Two" tour in 1993.

The rest, however, appear to be from a much more recent solo show; I would guess somewhere in between 2004-2006 judging from the outfit (LOVE the dragon jacket - so cool). Perhaps it was a private one. Wish there was more info!

I'm not sure whether I have seen those particular photos of Glenn in the pink shirt, but I'm positive that I haven't seen those of the Party of Two!!! Great find Soda! I've seen Glenn wearing that jacket before in a concert with Joe. Joe was wearing a different outfit though, so it must have been a different show than the one in which I saw Glenn in that jacket previously. Is that a lobster that Glenn has on his head?! :laugh:

That's what he looked like at the end of August 23. He even bowed. Not as low as he does in the Dublin DVD but he did! I think he was gratified by the way the crowd reacted (and even more so the second night; but that was less formal, so he didn't bow)!
