I know it's a bit late in the day, but I thought for Halloween, we could do a "spooky/scary Eagles playlist"! Solo stuff can be included.

I'll start with an obvious one:

Somebody
("there's a jack-o-lantern moon in the midnight sky"). Plus who wouldn't find getting stalked by a vengeful killer scary?

So let's think of spooky Eagles songs and add 'em to our playlist by posting them in this thread!

Witchy Woman
("Echoed voices in the night
she's a restless spirit on an endless flight")

Dipping into the solo catalogs....

Flip City (Glenn Frey)

It's written for the Ghostbusters II soundtrack and the whole thing is scary, but especially this verse:

I can feel the spirits now
Moving underground
I can feel them closing in
About to drag me down

I know the song is a joke, but I've always felt that "Teenage jail" is kind of spooky; including Glenn's keyboard solo!

Yeah, I can see how that has a spooky sound!

One that I put on my personal Halloween playlist was

The Garden of Allah (Don Henley)

That's another one that I find pretty scary, especially when Don starts talking in his "devil voice."

I don't know if this counts...Timothy didn't actually sing it but he helped write it and sing background. It's actually Jimmy Buffett.

Desperation Samba (Halloween In Tijuana)

The title alone should clue you in but love some of the lines and verses.

"Skeletons are dancing"

"Don't know where I'm going
Don't know where I've been
There may be no exit
But hell I'm going in"

"Halloween in Tijuana
Full moon in my eyes
I wonder how the hell I got here
without a disguise"

I figured Hotel California would be the first one mentioned here. The whole freakin' song is "spooky".

I always thought One Of These Nights had a few spooky lines.

The full moon is calling
The fever is high
and the wicked wind whispers and moans

You've got your demons
you've got desires.....

I've been searchin' for the daughter of the devil himself....

Later

Coming right behind you, swear I'm gonna find you, get you baby....

It gets so dark and lonely..

Good Day In Hell!

Parts of Don's You Better Hang Up are a bit 'spooky', I think. Even The Heat Is On (the shadow's high/on the darker side etc).

How about Don's Them and Us. I wouldn't necessarily say this one is spooky, but it sure is scary.

How about Journey of the Sorcerer? It may not have lyrics, but it has an eerie vibe.
