First Eagles Song of 2011

I thought we might all record what was the first Eagles song we heard this year. Mine was 'Take It Easy' at 10am this morning

Mine was Peaceful Easy Feeling because I put on Glenn's Live CD to listen to The Heat Is On for a discussion in another thread, and that is the first Eagles song on it.

Mine was "Funky New Year" for obvious reasons! I pulled out the iPod Touch and played it right after midnight. It got some laughs from fellow party-goers.

I had my iPod on shuffle this morning and the first Eagles song I heard was Most of Us are Sad.

I got Hubby Sirius XM satellite radio as a Christmas gift and yesterday he bought a docking station so he could also bring it in the house. He loves a station called The Bridge (I do too, it's great) and they have played several Eagles songs. I can't remember what I heard first this morning (we were asleep before midnight) - it might have been One Of These Nights, but I know I also heard I Can't Tell You Why among others.

Welcome to the Sirius side!!! You will LOVE it!! The Bridge is fantastic they also play a lot of Eagles on Classic Vinyl.

My first was also Funky New Year a couple minutes after midnight but only about 30 seconds of it when I received a text from a friend (it's my ringtone at the moment). Then I heard Best Of My Love in my car when I headed to the store because I had a cd in and that's where the cd had stopped yesterday when I got home.

We had the Millinium concert cd on while we were driving home from a party and I had set it so Old Lang Syne (did Joe or Felder play that?) would play when we started the car and that then led to Funky New Year. My husband thinks FNY is the worst Eagles song ever. I told him I'm sure they just did it for the occasion!

It was Life In The Fast Lane. I made a cd(s) of the setlist from the summer 2010 tour and had disc 2 playing in my car so when I got off work that was the first song I heard in 2011. I guess since that was the first Eagles song I heard in 2011 then the last one I heard in 2010 had to be Heartache Tonight. :)

I am ashamed to say my first Eagles song of the new year wasnt till the 6th and it was Lyin Eyes, but then I've been listening to a house full of kids and a lot of sponge bob, SO In my own defense, I've been plugged into my Ipod with audiobooks a lot! it wasnt till the kids were back in school and the DH back at work that I actually got to hear myself think! and no big surprise that it was our boys running rampantly (and naked of course) through my brain! :partytime:
