RIP. I loved the Monkees and of course his Rock Hour gave us that terrific Eagles show from 1974.

This was my gateway to current music and my favorite show as a young teen. I felt so cool, getting to watch my favorite bands and discovering new groups. My generation's Ed Sullivan, in a way.

This saddened me yesterday when I heard it! He was a big part of my teens because of the music he provided me with. :-(

well...Ed was my generation, too, I think. I remember watching him till it went off the air when I was 8-9. I was more of the:cheers: attitude during the time Kirshner's Rock Concert was on. Guess I'm not sure what generation i am....
