Two Cool Things...

1) Went into a CD/DVD/Game store yesterday, and as is the case everywhere the music CD section is ever dwindling... But I happened to notice that they had several remastered import copies of every single Eagles album... I was stunned and thrilled. I have NEVER seen that before. Also, tons of copies of Hell Freezes Over and Farewell 1 DVD's. Amazing what touring can do for album sales eh?

2) Went into a Makro store today, which is a bit like a Wal-Mart (in fact, they've just been bought out by Wal-Mart USA) and the song playing on the sound system was Soul Searching... Been a long long time since I heard that and it wasn't me playing it... :)

Every time I am in Walmart I check under "E" in the CD section. There are always copies of two or three of their albums and usually more than one copy of most of them. Every time I check they have different ones so obviously they are selling!

That's the beauty of good music. It never ages and never goes out of style. Every day someone new is 'discovering' a band like the Eagles, and long time fans are rebuying or replacing albums...

Not to get into a music war, but I can't really see people buying Adele or Justin Bieber music in 40 years... Just sayin'...
