ILAA will also be selling tix but no info yet on pricing. If top TM price is $375 you can image what ILAA will charge. Ooooh!

However, I bet it will be a terrific show. It's going to be in a relatively "intimate setting" - a 5500-seat venue. No wonder it is so pricey. I envy those who are going!

ok I will add that I am so excited that I had to stop the car when I heard the announcment by Ray Combs on WMGK in Philly. The radio station is giving them away this upcoming week.I hope there is a chance for decent seats . They must have offered a bucket load of $$$ to do the show.

Zelda, there is a train service from Philly, NJ Transit Service, that will get you close to the venue. I don't really know anything about it. I noticed it when I was thinking about taking Amtrak. I don't know how convenient it is to the airport.

When trying to find a better seating chart of the venue last evening I noticed that Reba plays there in mid-August and her tickets go on sale today. I think this is a new venue? Maybe they're scrambling for acts and you know, except for Joe our guys didn't have anything going on... :grin:

Z, You can fly from Buffalo into Philly and take Septa for 5 bucks (SE Philly Transit) to the 30th St. Station and hop on Amtrak for 10 bucks. There are free shuttles to and from AC from the Amtrak Station.

Ticketmaster was updated over the weekend!! For both shows, there's an AmEx presale that starts at 10am today. Ticketmaster presale (whatever that is) on Wednesday at 10am. Revel presale on Thursday. On sale to the general public on Friday.

I'm not remembering the exact layout, but remember the first 20 rows are VIP tickets. I don't know how far they extend to the side, if they are the entire row or not.

Revel is a new casino that just opened in May, and was supposed to revitalize AC. Another big-name musician was featured over Memorial Day (whose name escapes me at the moment). However, according to all reports over the summer thus far, business at Revel has fallen short of expectations. The Eagles are a way to attract more business, that's for sure!:thumbsup:

At least one local radio station will be holding a free-ticket giveaway this Friday. Their ad for the show and the giveaway says, "...the station that made pigs fly will soon make Hell freeze over..." The first part refers to a protest they organized at the Trenton statehouse, I think against state taxes. I'm sure the second part was NOT meant to indicate that our boys will be re-playing the Hell Freezes Over Tour, but it certainly is misleading! :headscratch:

I couldn't figure that out either. I was having a hard time figuring out the entire ticket site. It said to pick out seats, then enter the code, then it accepts the code, then it didn't give the seats. It was like a vicious cycle. I didn't like the seats I was getting for $275, I would just rather go to the upper level, but they wouldn't sell me the upper level??? Then if you go to Sub hub, all the seats are up for sale over there. I was just pissed off

It's just that this venue has to meet the Eagles upfront fee just like bigger arenas and since they have fewer tickets to sell to make back the money, they raise the price for them considerably. Of course, what the casino makes off of the people who come collaterally - the hotel rooms many of the audience members will get, the food they'll eat, the gambling they'll do - should make the Eagles very profitable for the casino regardless. Therefore, I still think the casino went overboard with these prices!

Resellers don't always get the prices they are asking! They usually go down when it gets close to the show. They really need to set a limit on what resellers can sell tickets for. They are scalpers, & I thought that was illegal. Stubhub is full of them!

That way , the band makes the money ,not the scalpers as was stated in the interview . So, I guess you are kinda paying the band , which I dont mind instead of the scalpers.lol

I think some resellers are selling on StubHub. There's no ticket owner listed, but Vivid has similar seats on sale for same StubHub price minus StubHub fees. I did a live chat with Vivid since my previous post and they assured me they weren't affiliated with VIP Nation, but yet could not give me a reason that they can't guarantee a seat number. Only row and section, and they will not ship the ticket until Aug. 30 which tells me the seat won't be chosen until then. These are legit tickets, not a scam. And apparently scalping is only illegal if you do it outside the venue and in person.

These scalpers always have workarounds. ILAA aka VIP Nation has lessened the amount of tickets that scalpers can acquire through the requirement of ID and non-transferability, but those scalpers always still manage to get their hands on primo seats through alternative means like shady backdoor deals with people who have access.

Irving Azoff is not affiliated with StubHub as far as I know, but a few years ago, the "ticket broker" site TicketsNow was acquired by Ticketmaster, of which Azoff is CEO.

And yet "the higher powers" don't want me watching Eagles videos on YouTube (tried to find a vid this morning of the Bernie days, and they've all been taken down, AGAIN) but they let this crap go on with their tickets so true fans can't even afford to go see them. Yes, I saw that, too and almost came out of my chair before realizing they were the Eagles concerts. The links for tickets didn't work so I emailed them about it (I'm a software tester by trade and I can't seem to help myself. I test everything and report 'bugs'!)

The show for Saturday comes up on Ticketmaster with 'no tickets available', and Sunday's show only has single seats available. There are still seats available through VIP Nation.

Just got back from AC. Revel is GORGEOUS and also quite huge (something like 48 floors). When you enter, you go up a massive escalator and the Ovation Hall entrance is on the main level with the casino and most of the restaurants. There's a decent selection of places to eat though we opted for the Jose Garces taco truck (yes, there's a taco truck inside the hotel) while we were there.

The third level is where most of the hotel stuff is including the pool and the Sky Garden (which I highly recommend - they had a guard at one entrance but not at the other so we could sneak out there even though we weren't staying at Revel).

I hope everyone going has a fantastic time!

When you enter, you go up a massive escalator and the Ovation Hall entrance is on the main level with the casino and most of the restaurants. There's a decent selection of places to eat though we opted for the Jose Garces taco truck (yes, there's a taco truck inside the hotel) while we were there.

The third level is where most of the hotel stuff is including the pool and the Sky Garden (which I highly recommend - they had a guard at one entrance but not at the other so we could sneak out there even though we weren't staying at Revel).

I hope everyone going has a fantastic time!

Can't wait to see it, but looking forward more to seeing four men!!!

He puts it right out there and just does his thing on stage. Love him or hate him, it doesn't really matter to him -- but I'm hoping he forgoes his rousing rendition of his song --- "Smoke, Smoke, Smoke that cigarette".
I get the impression he doesn't give a big bears A$$ if anybody "gets him" or not. He's having fun up there and that's what its all about for him.
In my experience, though, his opening does not change their start time. His band starts early and they change out the stage long before the Eagles start time --- which I think is 8:30 at the Revel.

As far as I'm concerned -- it's all good. If I have to sit through JD to get the the "heart of the matter" -- no problem. I'll do it gladly.

I just hate being a "captive" audience cause I am waiting for the "heart of the MAtter". Know what I mean?? Life is too short and I am getting too old to waste my time with a spoiled guys who 's daddy's money gets him a chance to play "rock star" .

I've seen JD and the Straight Shots three times - twice opening for the Eagles and once opening for Don. In my opinion, they're not any worse or better than your average bar band.

While it's a bit galling to know that the guy is up there simply because of his connections and money rather than his talent, it's otherwise no worse than passing your time before the show in a club or lounge with generic live music. If JD &Co. really make your ears bleed, you can just be elsewhere until they're off the stage.

It won't affect the length or cost of the Eagles show, so to me, it's nothing more than an annoyance.

Now, if they were cutting into Eagles time, that would be another matter! However, that's not the case. The Eagles haven't played a full-length set in over a year, regardless of whether or not JD was around.

Consider him a "free appetizer" to the main meal... an appetizer that doesn't really taste all that great and that most people will leave on the table uneaten.

I saw that on TM and started the process of purchase to see where the tix were -- Row H in Section 105. Decent seats but I don't think the dollars make sense.

i checked the seating chart.....
I"m not sure HH....
they are in the section behind the orch which runs from row AA to QQ
then the tix are in the next section another 8 rows back.

I guess they decided to hold on to some seats to draw people in.

Thats $725 a person but it includes your room for one nite and your parking.
At that price I would have wanted to do LAA.
But yet again, JAhh wanted to go so...maybe next time..lol

for once in my life...I have the outfit picked out all ready lol JAHH might have a heart attack cause that never happens for me.


While shopping in Macys for a baby gift, waiting in line to pay, I spied a rocking maxi dress.Tried it on made me look tall(which I am not) and made me fell skinny (another not for me)thought it was on sale, (another not) but bought it anyway. At the time, there was no concert on the horizon.....I just liked how tall and skinny the dress made me feel. It passed the critics oh I mean girlfirend test and I Got Cole Haan shoes and bag so I am good to go.

Now...for the appt...mani pedi, wax...good thing I took a few days off from work...lol Gonna need it.

Oh...Soda...you already have your million dollar smile..you will look great.

When JAHH and I saw Earth Wind and fire, he spotted the drummer Jon PArrish before the show and he stopped and posed for pictures and i even got a hug. We ran into him after the show and he let us take pictures again. In a casino, you gotta keep your eyes open .

Just got this in an email from VIP Nation. I wonder if they know the times posted everywhere is 8:30 and not 8:00? Since I can't imagine JD and the SS will only be on for 15 minutes and then a change-over in warp time, I'll hazard a guess that they mean 8:30.

I love this article in the atlantic city paper from Joe Walsh talking about our up coming shows. I also love that he talked about the BBKing show he did in AC last OCt.(we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary)
JAHH and I were there and that was the first time we met Soda and HH and KAy.what a fab show and a great group of people to have drinks and dessert with after.
I just fell on the foor when he talked about BB.

I'm very torn. We have a contract deliverable on Friday and we aren't exactly ready. So I'm wishing time would slow down a bit. Yet I want it to be Saturday night right now!

I am still not sure about going to this show. When I tried getting tickets, they were on Joe's side, not Timothy's which is where I wanted to be.

I have a lot of anxiety about going to Atlantic City because I was the victim of a crime there a few years ago, & I get panic attacks every time I think about that place! I am so torn about this, it's making me crazy because I really want to see this show, but I just don't know if I can do it???
If I can get a seat on Timothy's side of the stage, maybe that will help me get over this & go to AC! :sad::sad::worried::worried::worried:

VA, I have been back to AC since the attack, but it still made me a bit uncomfortable. I know it is all in my head. Panic attacks are not rational.
I used to have to take medication for them, but I am no longer taking any meds, because I wanted to get by without them.

There were seats on Timothy's side the other day, but now none are coming up. If I can get a decent seat on Timothy's side, I will bite the bullet & go to see the show! I would love to come to this show & meet some of you guys that I have been seeing here on the board! Wish me luck! :eyebrow:
