the tickets aren"t really expensive .(like $94.00 for two tickets)
ANd they keep plugging him as the writer of Hotel California and the signature guitarist on "Live in the fast lane".
Nothing is said about his new cd in all i can find.

He is not the signature guitarist of Life in the Fast Lane. Joe is. The other claim has of course been done to death.

I sometimes wonder why Felder does not try harder to stop this misinformation.

As for nothing being said about the new CD.... I am trying to be kind here and will only say that an opportunity is being missed to move on rather than stay dwelling on past glories.

For what its worth, the article linked to above says that Felder co-wrote Hotel California. The Life in the the Fast Lane thing and neglect to mention Felder's new album is probably just lack of research for this particular article.

There certainly isn't a lack of promotion for his new album. I've seen several articles about it pop up since it was announced. He's done several interviews to promote it in recent months and he posts on FB and Twitter about it frequently.

ETA: I'd like to add that I don't think anyone who decides to go to this will be disappointed. Felder puts on a great show.

I'd like to see him and he was in Niagara Falls Ontario in Aug.but I don't have my enhanced drivers license so can't cross the border...need to get it so that never happens again!

See, when I read it to JAhh, he said the same thing...that it was Joe Walsh.
Its a shame he cant move on if he is a guy with such talent.

JMO---- Kinda reminds me of Al bundy on Married with children...still talking about his 4 touch downs from high school football. Know what I mean?
"get over it"

So, White cap...you have seen him perofrm live? Is he that entertaining??

I feel I should point out that having read the article now, 'contributed signature guitar' does not mean he played all the guitars on the song, and it does say 'co-wrote' Hotel California, as whitcap said above. I do think that LITFL is a peculiar example to use. A song where he did play the solo, like One Of These Nights, would have made more sense.

I loved Felder's show. I'd go back and see him again in a heart beat. I wish his upcoming show in Jackson was on a weekend so I could go. He's an awesome guitarist and a good vocalist (personally I think he sings better live than he does on record.) He's also got a talented backup band. The venues he plays are relatively small so the show has a more intimate feel. Also, he seemed to really appreciate the audience. I think anyone who decides to go see him will like the show.

Another really cool thing is that he stays after and signs things for fans.

There was a meet and greet for some of the casinos high rollers scheduled shortly after the show I went to in Biloxi. Don used the little bit of spare time he had between the end of the show and the m&g to come back out on stage and greet some of his non-gambling fans who had gathered near the stage after the show. He shook hands, signed autographs and posed for a couple pictures with people who were right up by the stage. Towards the end he started to worry that he wouldn't get to the m&g on time. At the same time he didn't want to leave anyone who wanted an autograph out. He signed as much as he could before he had to literally run backstage to make it to the m&g.

Zelda,

On the fence.
I asked JAhh and I dont think he wants to go. I even got second row center seats first time I tried .
I have mixed feelings on felder.
I certainly wish him luck but my heart always belonged to Glenn . And I feel alegence to DH, Jw and your sweet timothy.

Its a really nice hotel....just redone top to bottom and the staff are outstanding as well and they just re did their show room.
(We have stayed there a lot while they were re doing the place. The last time we were there and there were no workers...I asked the check in gal if I could please have a few guys in hard hats with tight jeans and low hanging tool belts running around to make me feel at home.LOL)

Trying to think If I wanna try and go with a galfiend but not sure...I mean , he is only in the hall of fame as an eagle and he isnt an eagle anymore.
What are you thinking?? Me I should probably just put the money in the concert fund jar.

I kind of feel the same way about him...kind of like I'd be betraying the Eagles if I go see him or buy his CD...but I know that's silly in my head so I don't know where this is coming from...It's no skin off the Eagles back if I see Felder or buy his CD...I am very curious about what he'd be like...we know he is an awesome guitar player...but I can't imagine a whole evening of him singing? I'd go and see him at least once...someone here...sorry can't remember who....saw him and loved him...I'm sure the guys wish him well in his solo career right?...so I'd go and support him, hopefully he'll be nearby again soon...he has been coming to Niagara Falls several times a year in recent years...glad to hear I'm not the only one not quite sure how I feel about him at this point.

Ive always been a dreamer

Soda has seen Felder live a couple of times and so have a few other Borderers, including whitcap, as she posted above. Everyone that I know who has seen him has said that his show was very enjoyable.

For me personally, I don't think I'll buy his CD or go to see him live unless the CD gets rave reviews. In addition, I'd want to see the setlist first to see if he is doing a lot of new material from the CD. I really don't have any desire to see him perform Eagles songs such as TIE, WW, and PEF when he did not even appear on the original recordings.

Yeah that's the part I don't like I guess...I don't want to hear him do any Eagles stuff!!!...that's the part that makes me feel I'm being disloyal.

If he was coming close, I would go just because he WAS an Eagle for years and had a big part in HC. But I don't want to hear him do Eagles songs other than HC.

I wouldn't mind him doing Victim Of Love & Those Shoes because he co-wrote them. At a stretch I could live with him doing LITFL. Nothing else (and that includes Heartache Tonight, which I don't believe he could sing adequately, biased as I may be).
