This I didn't know till looking it up on Wikipedia (Freypower will be interested):

I had to look up my copy of On Every Street. Gill is indeed credited but apparently he played guitar rather than sang:

Not sure. The other photos from that evening have Jeff Lynne in them as well. Could be something honoring Jeff or it could just be a night out to dinner. The photo comes from flickr and there isn't any info with it.

I too am a huge Python fan. That's how I knew who was in the photo with him.

Sadly, I don't think anyone is holding his thigh in that photo. I think that is a video camera operator crouched down behind him, right between his legs. You can barely see reflection of blue light emitting from something onto the guy's hand. But, maybe its better to think that there is a Joe-thigh-holder on tour with them!! I'd be alright with that...

...and, that is one camera angle I would like to see!!

I'm just getting the hang of it. I know you have something on the Eagles tumblr that houses different songs. It's on the right when I view it. How do you get those?

It's a spotify playlist. You set up the playlist on spotify, then insert the code provided by spotify into a post which you then feature on the right. That's with the template I use, at least. The songs aren't actually housed on tumblr - they're streamed through spotify and the artist gets paid whenever they're played. That's why I featured it.

Unfortunately, only 200 songs show up in the playlist. I found this out after making a playlist twice that size!

Ahhh! I believe the template I used doesn't support that. I'll investigate a little more. I used a very clean template because I don't really like tiled photos as a background. I'd love to put my Joe playlist on there but it's no big deal if I can't. Thanks for your help.

When I showed my husband (also a Joe fan) the above photo for the first time he thought Joe was wearing fake funny shoes. I said "No, those feet are big in EVERY photo." It was my husband that had pointed out to me Joe's reach on the guitar. He has enormous hands for a man his size. As for your above mention, I haven't noticed anything huge brewing down there so I assume he's a grower instead of a show-er! :woah:

Austin, I know Brian was in a band called Geordie before he joined AC/DC. That wasn't what I meant. He comes from Dunston, across the river from Newcastle upon Tyne & people from there, like my husband from South Shields & Sting from Wallsend, are called Geordies. That is obviously how the band got its name. (People like Mark Knopfler, born in Glasgow, & Bryan Ferry, from Washington in County Durham, are not true Geordies).

Melody Maker was a magazine from the UK. Not sure if it's in existence any more. I know it dates way back as I've seen Melody Makers w/the Beatles on the cover. I think the Joe photos were in the March '75 issue.

The book is super funny. Made me laugh out loud often. Tho, it's not a kiss & tell kind of book. Nearly no mention of drugs & no mention of sex. Mostly road antics. Lots of great photos as soda said!!

Ladies if you'd like to look 10 years older all you have to do is cut your long pretty hair off. Wow! I knew she cut her hair but it was hidden under a hat when last I saw a photo of her.

I hate those pixie haircuts on anyone over the age of say 35. I don't like short hair in general. Men or women....

Such a drastic makeover. Can't deny she has the face to carry it off, though. Long blond hair on a woman of a certain age says so much about how she presents herself to the world and how she sees herself. And her sister! Lots of psychology involved here! Or, she just wanted to cut her hair.

Pamela Anderson just did the same thing, but kept it blond. I can see many reasons for Pamela to want to change/update her image at this point in her life, I hope it leads to good things for her career-wise. Or, maybe she just wanted to cut her hair. One can only live with fried bleached stringy hair for so long (trust me, I know).

I don't really like the new short haircut. Seems a few of the Hollywood stars are cutting hair into that short pixie style. I think she looked a lot better with the longer blondish hair, but I guess sometimes we all get sick of our hair & some stylist talks you into making a change.

I once cut my hair short (not exactly like that hairdo) but all I know is that it was a nightmare growing it out. I will never get a short haircut again. :eyebrow:

I love longer hair too and agree with you about Joe, MV.

My son drives me crazy because he shaves his head and has for years. It started in high school with buzz cuts and morphed into a complete shave. I hate it and have tried many times to talk him in to growing it back but he refuses. It 'bugs or itches' him! And he was so cute with hair! :sad:

I agree you too, MV about the short hair making most folks look older. I don't have real long hair - it's usually medium length. This last time I got it cut, my hairdresser got carried away and cut it shorter than usual. Fortunately, my hair grows fast, so, it won't take too long for it to be back to normal.

It hasn't been past my shoulders since! my hair is really thick and naturally curly, and it so much easier to manage at this length...short in the back and anywhere between chin length or a couple of inches below my chin in the front...and I keep it straight most of the time now.
and it doesn't make me look older.

For those that know me or have seen a picture of me, obviously I prefer long, blonde hair! I don't ever blow-dry it or use a curling iron except on my bangs occasionally, so there is no damage to it, no split ends, no dryness. It used to be below my waist, now it's a few inches above my waist. Except for it turning to ice on cold mornings, it's easier to take care of than shorter hair, IMO.

I did prefer Marjorie's hair longer and blonde rather than brown. She has the skin coloring to pull blonde off. I don't know who's 'in charge' of taking care of Joe's hair, but it looks great.

Yes, it's his wife. In one of the photos she's visible in the mirror holding up her phone and taking the photo. Of course when I went to look for that shot I can't find it but it's a backstage one where he's practicing his guitar.
