The confirmation of registration page says January 15th when you submit your request. But things could change. I sent them an email asking about pricing, etc.

It says some of the "best tickets" so we will see.

You had to enter your name and birthdate when registering. I imagine that if you win the opportunity to buy, you will have to show your ID and the credit card you used to purchase the ticket at will call, and the tickets would be non-transferable (You can only buy two). It's very similar to VIP ticketing. TM actually does "paperless ticketing" more and more nowadays to try and cut down on scalping.

Of course, the scalpers still have their ways as has unfortunately already been demonstrated, but at least these particular tickets will most likely reach their intended market of the fans. This is especially true since it is limited to the least desirable date: Wednesday as opposed to the weekend. Scalpers would be less interested, as would all the industry people, celebrities, family and friends getting comps.

It doesn't look like there will be VIP tickets this time; although VIP Nation did not respond to my query about it on Twitter, there is no listing on their site and they typically sell a week before the general sale, which is in just a few days.

I predict getting good tickets at a reasonable price for any of these shows - but especially the Saturday one I want to attend - will be next to impossible.

I'm undecided on whether or not I want to go to LA at all, and the Wednesday show is inconvenient for me (or so says my boss). I entered the thing, though, because a good seat at a regular price would make it worth it. Otherwise, I'll just have to have quick fingers for the weekend show(s), if I decide to go at all.

Me either. I'm going to all 3!:yay: May even spring for a front row VIP tix even though I swore I'd never do it again. Don't mind eating crow to see TimmyB up close and personal. That is unless they add more shows like they did when they played the Nokia back in 2007. If that happens I'll have to settle for the best of what I can get just so I can go to every show!

Wish they didn't make us wait until Friday morning to see who wins the lottery though.:fainted:

They are doing this here too at 'important' and fully booked out gigs. It started about 3 years ago with Justin Bieber who played in March. Tix had been released in November/December and many parents and grandparents had bought tix as Christmas presents for the teenages in their lives but did not intend going themselves. They got a text the day of the gig saying to make sure to attend. It caused absolute pandemonium!

So far no email either. Maybe they are waiting until just before the pre-sale starts-sometime between 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. No one has posted getting the invitation e-mail yet on their Facebook page. Good news I guess.

A kindly elderly colleague asked me to lunch and, figuring I would've gotten the invite by then if I were going to get it and not wanting to hurt her feelings, I accepted. Afterwards, I got on 78 to drive back to Memphis. At this point, the pre-sale had started already, but no invite for me. I'm on the highway cruising along when I get an email alert on my smartphone. Now, I typically don't do this, but I quickly glanced at it to see what it was - the invite! Only I was 10 miles from an exit! To make it worse, I'd gotten it at 2:17, 17 minutes after the presale started!

As soon as I got to an exit I hit the nearest McDonald's hoping for some free wifi (thank God they had it) but by the time I got the computer running at a table and got onto the site, it was 2:40! I thought for sure whatever I could get would suck, but no! I got 9th row Section C, seats 9-10! Not bad for getting in forty freaking minutes late! I took it!

It really is kinda cool of them. They could have gone for the "cash out" and stuck with just the VIP packages for the good floor seats, but I'm so thrilled that they are giving us all a chance for great seats at a reasonable price. Carol-Lynn, I wouldn't be surprised if the seats you are seeing on StubHub (or wherever) are actually from Ticketmaster. They put them out there to see if they can sell them for the super-inflated price before offering them during a presale or regular sale. Official Platinums from Ticketmaster are almost always on StubHub at an (even more) inflated price, so I know they do utilize the scalper sites. I don't know they are from Ticketmaster, but I wouldn't be surprised if we found they were.

There was an article a couple of weeks ago in the LA Times that stated TM would be offering re-sale tickets via interactive seating charts for you to chose from but didn't read anything about selling them through brokers. Wouldn't be surprised. Capitalism.

I am still shocked and awed we didn't have to at least pay a fan club fee for the tickets they offered us yesterday. About time though I must say.

Finally got my invite at 9:26 a.m. this morning. WTF....only over 19 hours late!! Of course I checked to see what seats were available - Section J Row 19....yahoo!! What happended? I'm just a tad bit pissed about this whole thing now. I'd really like to know why some people got the invites in time and others did not. Feel like sending an email and chewing someones ass....I think I will.

My guess is, I don't know, that they randomly staggered the invitations so as to spread it out. From reading this thread, it seems a lot of fans requested the code for the tickets then didn't use it, so after a period of time, they'd send another batch of emails. Perhaps they just kept randomly sending emails until all the floor seats were taken.

I agree VA. I think they sent out a certain number of invites according to how many seats were allotted for this presale, then waited to see how many were actually claimed. Obviously many people entered who couldn't go or decided not to buy for whatever reason, and those tickets laid unclaimed. Thus, the contest runners sent out another round of invites, then another, and will continue to do so until all the seats are gone or time runs out.

What's the alternative? Better to send out later rounds of invites than to just toss all those unclaimed tickets back into the pool so that they are snatched out of the hands of the fans who entered that actually planned on going.

This is a great opportunity (albeit random) for fans to get good seats below face value. I sincerely hope they don't take some of the unjust negativity and decide not to do this again. They didn't have to do it at all.

I can't be sure, WS, but I think it has to do with if and when you originally registered with eaglesband.com

I don't mean when you registered after receiving the first e-mail announcing the fan sale, but when you originally registered with the band's website. I registered almost immediately (years ago) and I got my "invitation" 18 minutes into the sale.

I'm sorry you're disappointed, but for me, I couldn't be more thankful that the band broke from tradition and gave us "hardcores" a shot at the tickets we normally have to pay through the nose for.

Well, the email said it was random; I see no reason to doubt that. If there were any such factors for preferential treatment, I imagine they would have said so and used it for a marketing tool (ie "register with our site now to get a better chance"). Far more likely, in this day and age, that the selection process was completely automated. Luck of the draw - simple as that.

I obviously have no inside knowledge, but I do know that I got the first "heads up for the invitation" email almost exactly 24 hours before VA got hers. And, true to that formula, she got her follow-up invitation (with the access code) almost 24 hour after I got mine. If that seems random, then there you go. I'm sticking with my original theory, that it went in "random" order of when you signed up for the website -- not when you registered or RSVP'd to the invitation. I guess we'll never know -- I'm just grateful for the chance!!

Me too. Got mine about noon and nothing but bad seats available. It does make you feel like a second class citizen. Sounds like they sent invites to everyone that signed up but those of us that weren't picked on Friday got the leftovers. Personally, I think while their intentions were probably good, they should have kept the "exclusivity" illusion and just not sent out the later ones.

Oh well, the likelihood I will get to go now is pretty slim but if I could have gotten a decent ticket during this fan sale I would have found a way to make it happen.

I am working through a friend to try to get decent seats for Friday or Saturday night. He confirmed to me that VIP Nation will not be involved for any nights - no VIP packages for these shows. They asked what price range I was looking for and I said around $280 per ticket, because it sounds like that is the face value of the floor seats that were sold to the e-mail contest winners...they also confirmed that they are aware of whose side of the stage I prefer to be in front of haha. We'll see, aaaarrrrrghhhhh! I so want something awesome to look forward to!!!!!!

Actually the face value of the fan invitation seats believe it or not were $231.10 all in-base price was $185. I couldn't believe it even called TM to make sure-I got second row center section for less than the crap seats AMEX sold yesterday.

I know! A real gesture of largesse to say the least considering TM is currently asking over $3K for a third row center seat for Friday right one row behind where I will be setting on Wednesday for a $200. Amazing.

Good Luck getting tickets. If I don't get anything for Friday and Saturday I'm going the ticket drop route.

In saying that we are kinda optimistic that the Eagled will repeat previous patterns of visiting the UK and Ireland the summer after the tour starts as they did with LROOE..

Go to your TM View Order page and select the Transfer button. See if that will work. If you bought ticketless seats then it won't work. Otherwise that's how you do it.

If you bought a paperless ticket from the research I did on the net, it looks as if you are stuck for now at least. As one poster put it: "They're "paperless which means, instead of tix being scanned at entry, you need the CC to be swiped at entry, the seat info gets printed out in a small,receipt like stub, and in you go."

Most people reported that calling TM proved to be a worthless pursuit. One person actually got their money back but no one was able to transfer them or resell them unless there was a TicketMaster Exchange going on too. Some suggested you write a letter to TM explaining your situation and include a copy of your driver's license and credit card. Others suggested you do an end run and pretend you lost your card but then you may or may not run into the issue of the photo ID not matching the credit card. Good Luck!

Center Stage seems to be, as predicted, Section C seat 8. Sections A and E are definitely off-sides. Section A starts with the second row and has 5 seats-Section E has a first row with 5 seats.

Hi guys! For the first time in a week, I felt like picking up my tablet & reading. I have not had the flu in 35 years and boy did it hit me. In fact it has hit the whole city of Houston pretty hard. I think it's so cool that they saved this place and renovated it. Unlike in Philly where they tore down the Spectrum. Would have loved if they did a renovation like this. It was another great "old school" place to see a concert.

The JD is James Dolan, of the Dolan family who owns Madison Square Garden. He seems to enjoy his life as a "rocker" sometimes more than as an owner of the NY Knicks, who play in MSG. Some fans believe he is as oblivious about his talent as a guitarist as he is in running the team. I'm glad he didn't show up to open up any of the Eagles shows in November!

OMG!!! I am so stressing out. I got to the bus stop 45 minutes early and sat under the sign for the Amtrack bus. So a bus comes in at my pick up time and passes me to stop at the next stop labeled for the Wheels buses.(downtown) I get up, pick up my shit and start walking and the damn driver pulled away when I was 5 feet from the door!!! WTF?? So now I'm re-booked on a later train that puts me in LA at 11pm. Just when I wanna be looking for a cab in LA. NOT!!! What I don't do for a little Eagle love. Lol

I did notice one thing about that first photo. They were all standing with acoustic guitars & there was no sign of Bernie. Perhaps it was taken later in the show. But then I noticed that the tweet said the show was for a charity so perhaps it was 'private' and there was a shortened setlist.

Hi all - Just coming in to update everyone. We (soda, VA, HH, HB, PLS, and me) are back in the room after a day of touristy stuff and brunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Getting ready to seriously begin the fluffin' and puffin' process. The dinner menu for the evening is take-out deli sandwiches - courtesy of the Laurel Canyon County Store. We'll be leaving for the show in a couple of hours. Anxiously awaiting to see if there are any additions to the setlist or changes to the show. Of course, more details later and can't hardly contain our excitement.
