Two weeks from tonite I will be in the front row!! - after VIP dinner, new jean jacket (hmmmm... wonder what that will look like???) and some other little perks so I'm told. so super excited to see these guys up close and personal!!! :)

My sister lives in Dayton and I may go their Sunday and head down from there. If not, I will be driving down from central Indiana, which is a 2 hr plus trip. I met VA in Indy in October; sat across from her.

I'm VERY nervous about the weather, and the ability of the band to even get there from DC in time. It's a huge storm and so 'driving around it' isn't much of an option.

I am in Southern Kentucky and I am nervous about the weather. I have hundreds of miles to drive, and now they are saying that there will be snow and ice between the concert and myself. DC is projected to be iced in as well, how will the word get out if the concert has to be postponed? I am hating the forecast right, now!!

Lilah, they all keep changing their minds. This is at least the second change for National Weather Service today. Here's their forecast for Monday for Cincinnati:


A slight chance of snow before 9am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 22. Wind chill values as low as -3. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

This is for E-town (and Louisville) for Monday, so it sounds like further north will be better:


A 30 percent chance of snow before 1pm. Mostly cloudy and cold, with a high near 24. Wind chill values as low as 6. North wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

I don't know where you're coming from, but I have to be at the arena by 5:30 (I'm sure I'll be late). If you're close to E-town or Radcliff I could give you a ride?

If they get cancelled, it'll be on Ticketmaster first. Eagles will post to Facebook and their webpage, I'm sure. If they're smart they'll leave DC after the concert tonight and go somewhere else. It's the ones who travel in the buses that will be the issue.

I am 60 miles south of Etown in Columbia, but I can't leave till 2PM Central TZ( unless school is cancelled due to weather), and I really need to be back ready to teach first grade by 7:30 Tuesday. I really appreciate your kind offer, though. This time crunch is what is stressing me out, but the concert will soothe my all my ills. I am sure of it! Again, I am impressed with your niceness.

Yep every time the news comes on the weather forecast has changed. It's 11:23 in Dayton and we have nothing but the meteorologists keep saying 'its coming!!!' Not too worried. Just glad the show isn't tomorrow night!

I'm sure the show will go on since there's less snow than predicted, and it seems to have already stopped there. Still snowing heavily here. There's a two hour delay at work, so going in late and leaving early to get to this concert will not be well received after being out all last week. I'm thinking there will be plenty who don't go in at all, so hopefully I can get away with it! My issue at the moment is finding the energy to get all the snow off the truck.

Well, got half way to work and got the call that the Commander closed our Command for the day and that I was to go back home. The good news is that my truck is cleaned off and filled with gas, and I can set out for this concert when I want and not worry about anything except road conditions.

I got back from my game in Bloomington, Indiana around 10:00p. The main roads were in great shape all the way. This is a 500 miles round trip of about 5 plus hours. Today, from Dayton. should feel like a walk in the {cold} walk in the park. Hope to see all of you later.

Thanks for the good wishes! School was cancelled today and tomorrow, and that means we will be spending the night on the way back somewhere... I am trying to attach a photo of the roads...
