What's the story behind this photo? Soda has it filed under 2005/2006 and obviously it must be a wildlife park in Australia.

They were actually last here in 2004 & the photo is in the 2003/4 gallery. I think that is up in Queensland at the late Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. I don't remember any further details. There was another closeup photo:

As far as this picture, in addition to the folks already identified, I believe that is Tommy Nixon in the Texas Longhorns hat next to Cindy. Deacon is in front of her and, even though he is being hidden, I think that is probably Jerry Vaccarino behind Cindy.

I particularly like that one. At first, I dismissed it as an ordinary, though well-cut, jacket and then I noticed the sleeves. So I'm wondering how it looked in action - did it look like flickering flames as he moved?

Yes, that was the point about the flames & dragon jackets - the sleeves. The flames didn't flicker, but it was fun to look at them while he played. On the dragon jacket I'm sure there was some sort of glitter on it which obviously picked up the lighting.

Don't forget leather. I am so bored with those endless overshirts & now they're not even different colours.

This is an example of the 'crinkly' hair I saw in 2013 which has resurfaced. I'm very surprised anyone would think it looks 'permed'. He's always had a lot of natural wave in his hair.

Actually, perming and coloring hair would accelerate the thinning of the hair, even when done by experts and using high priced salon products. So I really can't imagine he perms it. Whatever it is that he does to get it to look this way, I like. His hair seems to be shouting to me, 'run your fingers through me'!

I'm sorry but I disagree. It's slightly wavier, that's all, & I don't think it makes him look older. I also think the comparison is unfair but there you are.

It doesn't bother me what he does with his hair as long as I get to see it, which I will in March.

#612, definitely. That was professionally styled for a photoshoot, I'm sure they took some time with it, that's why it looks FANTASTIC. A little length to the hair, a ton of product, and very hot blow dryer and flat iron and he's set! I'm sure he has a hair person for shows, but it's probably a less intensive process, and I'm guessing for a night out to a Knicks game he's on his own re: styling!

I just Googled images of Libarace, and I didn't find any of him with curly hair, only waves or completely straight. Even those who have played him in films didn't have curly hair. I do remember a brief period where he permed his hair, but I viewed pictures of him from teenage years to late years and none had curly hair.

FP, I think you should have whatever avatar you like. It's all about what you like, not others, and personally, I adore this picture of Glenn, and I love the curls. Like with the perming and dying comment I made earlier, massive use of product and blow dryers will make a person's hair fall out faster as well (which is why I never use either of those). Glenn has great hair, but any man over the age of 50 needs to think about such things before doing it every day.

Yes, well, it doesn't really make your hair fall out faster, but it damages the hair and sometimes the hair cuticle, I think it's called. That means that even short hair will break off more easily close to the scalp. Also, people of a certain age tend to take medications that either slow down regrowth or put your hair in a 'resting' state for a while. Blood pressure meds, cholesterol lowering meds, and thyroid medications are some examples. I'm lucky that my hair hasn't thinned with age, but I try to keep in mind that for each long hair that breaks at the scalp or gets pulled out, it takes five years or more for it to be long again!

Anyway, I think Glenn has incredible hair for a forty-five year old man, let alone mid-60's.

Thank you all so much. I love being part of this community. It is so great to have met so many of you too, FP, Desperada and of course Soda too. Love that pic from NY Soda, and of course the one from Dublin too FP. And DD, it was Glenn :heart: in that lovely fuchsia shirt that had me taking a second look at him way back in 2006, and a third look, and a ..... well lets just say I'm still looking!!

FP, I know that pic was during the earlier part of the second half of the show, but I'm not sure exactly what song it was. As he was on lead vocals I'm coming down in favour of NKIT but not 100% sure. If I get more accurate I'll post it. You will probably know soon enough when you see those stars in the background. Its a pic I'm proud of, not for its photographic value, but as a result of the risk I took to shoot it!!

Thanks for the blue shirt picture. It looks like it's from the same time as the ones with the car, maybe even the same shoot. They're both by Henry Diltz.

That Wiseguy scene is quite memorable. During most of the show, Bobby is this dapper little man in a suit, always busy, and a million miles away from a former rock-star. Then he (briefly) transforms into the hunk on the sofa and I can see it. Maybe the guitar really is that important!
