VA and FP I love both of those more recent pics. For those of you that have been on this leg of the tour, is he starting to let some more gray show. It looks like that on VA's pic. Or is it the lighting? I think it suits him well anyway. I don't like when men obviously colour their hair to a level that doesn't suit their face. I do like it subtle which is I'd say what Glenn :heart: does.

There were times last night it looked a lot more gray, there were times it looked brown. I can say it was perfectly styled and looked fantastic, as did the rest of him. Sitting at the angle I was at meant Glenn was in profile to me most of the night, and being front row his shirt wasn't in the way as much (very similar to the post above with The Long Run shot). So I didn't spend a lot of time looking at his hair. It's very possible the heat in the building had nothing to do with the AC being on or off. :hilarious:

He has incredible blue eyes, and they change colors. When he's giving someone THE LOOK, they're a very dark midnight blue. Sometimes they're a grayish blue. Most of the time they're the color of sapphires. I could go on and on...

He has deeply set eyes, and they are often shadowed. I know my eyes change color depending on what I wear and what mood I'm in, and while mine mostly change from blue to some weird gray color, they are often green and hazel as well. I think most blue-eyed people have this happen, although I doubt Don's are ever anything but blue. He has eyes the same color as my father's, and Dad's never change color.

Mood and lighting can definitely affect eye color if you have hazel eyes. Mine are a green-hazel and sometimes they appear brown.

My theory is that his pupils were dilated. I'm sure it must have been due to a visit to the optometrist rather than any chemical substances he may have been ingesting or inhaling. :lol:

I thought Glenn had brown eyes too because at the beginning of the HOTE when Don and Glenn are in the car and they talking about longevity, his eyes were dark and the camera was close on him like Don. Don's eyes were definitely very light blue.

I guess he has hazel eyes if his eyes changed. He does have nice eyes.

Surprisingly, it took me a while to notice Glenn's eyes. It wasn't until a few days after I joined here. I was reading an old Frey Fever thread, and there was a discussion about his eyes. Regardless of what color they appear, he definitely has some beautiful eyes!

UTW, I could stare at that last photo for hours. Not only do we see thise eyes, but that look, those lips, and especially that chest hair! :drool: :censored: :thud:

When I saw Glenn at Pebble Beach, I looked closely at his eyes and I was surprised how deep set they actually are. Of course, the lighting (natural or artificial) can make a difference in the color intensity as well.

The hair length isn't a lot different to the BBC concert, but shorter than the cover shoots for Desperado (early 73?) and On the Border (September 73). Which would make him aged 24.

Thanks Dreamer. I hadn't noticed that he give his hair a bit of a trim around that time period. Sure enough, a quick trip to GFO and I find that photo.

Well, I just got home, and now the grieving process begins (see the what's happening in your life thread if you don't know what I'm talking about). I don't grieve by crying (I'm not an emotional person. I actually stood almost stone faced while watching my grandma die today). I silently grieve by just thinking and listening to music. I'll probably look through the old Frey Fever threads to help me.

Now, earlier, I reached a milestone of 1,000 posts. I had planned to make that post in here, but that didn't happen. I'm just going to post one photo, the one that first caught my eye of Glenn.

Otis' full name is Otis Lincoln Douglas Frey, so there is a connection to the Lincoln-Douglas debate. In that picture with Kareem, Otis doesn't looked overly impressed - he may have been a bit intimidated by such a big guy. :grin: He was born in 2002, which makes him a brand new 13 year old teenager. I think he and Deacon have always favored one another, even more so as they get older. They both bear a strong resemblance to Glenn, IMO. Taylor, on the other hand, looks a whole lot like Cindy to me.

Maybe it's the lighting, but to me, Otis has on different colored jeans in the photos. In the one with Kareem, his jeans have a black coloration to them, and a blue color in the one where he's almost asleep.

You're right about Otis' age, Dreamer. I don't know why I was thinking he was born in 2001. All this talk about him brings back memories of seeing him at Glenn & Joe's concert in Aspen.

I've mentioned before that Glenn's father's name is Edward so I assume Deacon was named after him. Glenn's mom was Nellie Marie so it is possible that Taylor gets her middle name from her. I have seen a clip where Glenn is telling Joe Otis' middle names & he refers to the Lincoln- Douglas debates.

What I want to know is WHY? NB: I do know the history. What I don't understand is why give Lincoln & Douglas as two middle names (one or the other would have been enough, but my real question is why he thought this event was so important he wished to name his son after it)?

As for Taylor, perhaps I am old fashioned but to me it's a surname, not a first name, but if it HAS to be a first name it is more suited to a male than a female. I feel the same about other surnames which are now given to girls like Bailey, Riley. I have never understood why surnames are given as first names at all & also understand that most of them sound 'male'. So why give them to females? As for Madison, which does seem to be given only to girls, don't get me started. I don't want to take this off topic; it's just an observation.

Sometimes, I don't think that I'll ever understand people's reasonings for naming their kids certain names. My mom decided to name my brother after a cartoon character of all things!:hilarious:(Christopher Robin from Winnie the Pooh). Personally, all the Taylors I know are female.

In the clip it appeared to of a statement of fact, not a joke. Joe & Glenn were in a studio doing radio interviews live (and one for TV) for various stations for the F1 tour (I believe). The tape was left running between interviews so you could hear their conversations. I wish the clips were still available. Joe is so funny & at times Glenn can hardly breathe he is laughing so hard at Joe's deadpan jokes.

That Oz Rock one - wow. When he was here in 1988 he went to what was a shortlived ripoff of the Hard Rock Cafe here in Sydney.

IMO, Glenn is one of the few men who can pull off that look with the long wavy mane of hair and still look HS&G! The '70s were my favorite era for him.

I think that Glenn looks great regardless of what era the photo is from. (although there are some bad photos. The Aladdin one for example). Because of my age, I prefer younger Glenn. He looked hs&g with the long hair and mustache(that look has grown on me), but the look between 1979-1986 has got to be my favorite (although HFO is a close second). The Eagles live poster photo intrigued me, but it was the middle 80s look that made my jaw drop.
