I received an email today from these guys, they handle Glenn's and Joe's websites and merchandise, and of course, the Eagles'. For those who have ordered from them and may have changed their email ID, here is the text of the email.

Important Message About Your User Account
ground(ctrl) operates social networking community websites focused on musicians. We take very seriously the privacy and confidentiality of the information provided to us by our community members. Recently, an unauthorized person gained access to part of our computer network that supports the websites we operate. Upon learning of the access, we worked to block any further unauthorized access and engaged a leading forensic investigation firm to determine what occurred and assist us in implementing enhanced security measures. Based on the investigation, we believe the unauthorized person may have been able to acquire a copy of the e-mail address and account password, as well as the last four digits and expiration date of the credit card used by individuals who have logged-in to the websites we operate. Although we do not store passwords in plain text, we believe the unauthorized person has the ability to convert them to plain text.

We wanted to let you know about this incident as soon as we could and we are cooperating with federal authorities in their ongoing investigation of this matter. We recommend that you change the password you use for this account. To do so, simply go to this page on our site: http://groundctrl.com/auth/reset (http://mailinglist.gctrl.com/t/y-l-irlliuy-jyljhisf-b/). Also, if you use the same user e-mail address and password for any other account, we recommend that you change your password there as well.

We regret any inconvenience this may have caused. To prevent this from happening again, we are working with the forensic firm to implement additional security measures. If you have any questions, or you need further assistance, please call:

So did I. I didn't want to change my password but when I tried to log in to the store, I couldn't so I did have to change it.

I got it too. It's a while since I've been on the site but I will change my password. Thanks VA for alerting us. It could easily have slipped my mind.

Thanks VA, I just deleted my junk folder contents and don't know if I got it or not. I haven't ordered anything for a long time though.

I got this too. Seems a lot of companies are getting breached lately.

Well, my husband was right. He ordered something for me from the Eagles on line store for Christmas. A few weeks later, we had strange charges on the charge card he used. He said jokingly it was a breach at the Eagles store.

Nice.

OMG! All the way back in January? I'd better go double check my credit card too.
