I just saw this on Fastlane. If you live in Australia, the guys (including Bernie) will be on 60 Minutes Australia this upcoming Sunday.

I really hope somebody will upload their interview to YouTube. It sounds like its going to be a good interview.

I don't know how to put the video from the Facebook page on here. So I'm posting the link to their page.

It looks like the interview took place in the UK within the last week. Yay, Bernie! I hope he gets to speak. I know it's mostly promotion of the tour, but is the documentary going to be broadcast, too?

Also this link: http://sixtyminutes.ninemsn.com.au/

They don't appear to region-lock their videos which makes a nice change.

We post almost at the same time. LOL

It is nice. I played some of their videos on their website and it will play.

Shun, your link works better than the one I found so I'm going to take down my post to avoid confusion. Thanks!

They did 60 Minutes before the Australian tour back in 1995, I think. I will be able to watch this, I guess, even though I never watch the show which is tabloid current affairs.

UTW, the documentary has only been broadcast here on cable TV, not free to air which is what Channel 9 is.

A reminder that this starts in about 10 minutes. However, I haven't found a live stream.

I did some research and I found the 60 Minutes Australia website. So us that's not in Australia can still watch it. Here's the link.

ETA: I was out by an hour and I still can't find a stream.

Judging by the quotes on the 60 minutes twitter it was like a greatest hit version of the documentary.

Here's Joe Walsh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm_dSIeviug#t=35

The reporter talking about the interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpQR-RExims&list=UU0L1suV8pVgO4pCAIBNGx5w

The main interviews are now up on the website:

It wasn't going to be stream live. We wouldn't be able to see it until they put it up on their website which should be very soon. I just gave the link so we can look at it when they put it up on the website.

I'm disappointed that they showed almost nothing of Timothy & Bernie. :-( they are all looking great! :)

Well, that was OK, if somewhat superficial. There was far too much about the abuse, etc. I liked the recent footage. I will get a couple of screen shots.

Nothing too much that's new, except I don't think I've seen them all five (with Bernie) sitting down together for an interview, so that was cool.

Joe is getting as bad as Glenn when it comes to repeating jokes. How many times has he pulled out variations of the "But now I can remember it" line?

They just HAD to show the naked groupie clip, didn't they? SIGH.

I liked Glenn saying he'd be doing music no matter if he was just playing small clubs, and I thought Tim talking about how all he wants to do now is cuddle up with his "book friends" after a show. So cute! Don saying that all he ever wanted when he was a kid was to hear himself on the radio - but now he turns the radio off when he hears himself - was an interesting irony.

LOVED seeing new professional quality concert footage from the HOTE tour.

Oh, and I like that Glenn unbuttoned a bit. ;)

For me the highlights were seeing HOTE concert footage fresh and new, and also seeing Glenn  being interviewed. The bit of chest didn't hurt, and like Soda, I loved to hear him say that he would still do music in small clubs as well as the big stadiums.

It was nice seeing all 5 together. I agree I would have like to hear a little more from Timothy and Bernie. Bernie you hardly heard anything but he looked great. They all did.

There were some little bit of different answers but nothing we didn't know.

Would they have edited the link? I didn't see Timothy speaking and I saw no naked groupie.

It was very nice seeing them altogether, with Bernie, and all looking so great and even happy. Sometimes they do these interviews without smiling at all, so smiles were nice.

This was the perfect thing to watch and listen to, suited my mood perfectly.

I loved hearing Glen laughing about feeling lucky to get through the entire concert without passing out!

This is the link for the entire interview. The previous link was only for Part 2.

I just watched Part 1 again & both clips were still in there. :headscratch:

I was a little disappointed. The trailer for the show gave a pretty good idea of what they were going to cover, but seeing Bernie raised my expectations a little. I just feel it was a missed opportunity to tell the story of his return after 38 years. It got a brief mention, along with 1970s footage but I want to know how it has been for Bernie, Don and Glenn to pick up after all these years.

Without wanting to make a big deal of it, I was also uncomfortable with the way Glenn talked about the break-up. It seemed disingenous and I'd rather he kept silent that do that.

I don't know why you say that. I thought he was a lot more sensitive about it, more emotional, than he was in HOTE when he relived his anger. It rang true to me.

I agree, FP. Also, he may have been mentioned it in reply to a question asked by the interviewer.

Everybody else in the band... we just couldn't work with him any more. It started to become a drag. It was like the Eagles became an albatross, this sort of ball and chain, this sort of thing that existed. It was there the second you woke up and it was with you until you went to bed at night.
It's the first sentence I had the problem with. Now I'm feeling picky because if he'd used "I" instead of "we", I'd be fine with it.

sodascouts
06-10-2014, 05:11 PM
I think he probably meant "we" as in both he and Don. Thanks for clarifying what you found "disingenuous" - since "disingenuous" means he is being deliberately misleading and deceitful, it seemed a pretty strong condemnation and I couldn't figure out what had triggered you.

Freypower
06-10-2014, 06:31 PM
I don't see why he couldn't have meant the whole band. Though his own problems with Felder are well documented the others may have felt exactly the same, who know?

I finally got time to watch and thought it was a great interview. I also would have liked to have heard more from Tim and Bernie, but I'll take what ever I can get I guess!

At the first Glenn said that they continue touring because there is a demand. That's for sure! They still fill those stadiums! I can't imagine going to one that wasn't full!

Oh, and they spelled Glenn's name wrong on one of the drop down's on the right lower screen! I noticed it once in the second part.

Don't have time to watch it right now (the joys of having an exam on warehouse layouts tomorrow ) and might not have time for a while, so quick question: is there are set amount of time it's available to view in retrospect for, or is it uploaded indefinitely? Thanks in advance :)

Yes, and the interviewer mispronounced 'Leadon' but apparently she was more concerned with being shown on screen than she was with getting basic facts correct. I have always hated this 'the interviewer is the real star' stuff.

TLR, because it's a current affairs show I would think their website would have to change the stories on the site fairly regularly, but it is now on YouTube.
