Here is a picture of my co-worker after the concert last night. Looks like a good time was had by all. Really looking forward to getting the whole story next week...

What an AWESOME picture - Good for her! If I had a picture like that, I would have it plastered all over the internet and any other place I could find, including on the front of my Christmas cards! :jealous:
It's really a wonderful picture of both of them - kudos!

I heard little bit of the story...my co-worker (Pati) took her sister (Sandra) who also works here and I got to talk to her today. Sandra said the show was amazing and the best concert she has ever been to. They were in the third row center and had a fabulous time. When they went backstage they got to meet Bernie briefly. They met Don in his dressing room and said he was the nicest, sweetest guy - really friendly, funny, relaxed and welcoming (he even got them water) and seemed so pleased to get to meet Pati finally. He talked about the tour and the History of the Eagles Showtime special (how it has been bigger than they ever expected), a little about all the traveling, his non-profits, his new album and his family. She said it was just a great, easy, fun conversation with him.
I think I am even more envious today (but really happy they had such a great experience).
**Just talked to Pati and she said she got a hug and a kiss on the cheek from Don....*sigh* But she was so excited about the whole thing it was really cute :)

Aww. How cute. She's one lucky woman. A hug, a kiss. Heck more than 5 minutes to talk with Don. I don't know what I would had done to just spend time with him and The conversion probably was 15 to 30 minutes. I guess I better send my information for WW today. LOL
I just found out a friend of mines brother will be their truck driver who will be transporter their equipment on the tour soon. I told her her brother is soo lucky. He just got off of tour with Rod Stewart and Santana

Oh my, Lord, where do I start? This has made me so happy :p I KNEW that all my years of adoring Don were not in vain! He has to have a good heart if he loves nature and animals. I know what it's like to be painfully shy and awkward in social settings. It makes you come across as arrogant if you're defensive but only because you feel out of place. I have no problem meeting people one to one or writing about my feelings but I come across as distant if I'm in a situation I feel anxious about. Having read about Don I know he was very shy when he was younger and it's something you never really get away from. But in a one to one setting like this, he showed his true personality.

Having said all that I'm so jealous. A hug AND a kiss!!!!
I feel a bit emotional as I'm going through a really stressful time at the moment but this story cheered me up. DON :iloveyou:

Hi all. I was at the show in Portland. It was my 13th show this tour---all in the first row!!!! I am living the dream!
The show was great as usual. After Witchy Woman when they leave the stage Timothy pointed to someone and pointed at him (naturally I was jealous). When it was his turn to talk he said speaking of Poco his friend Paul Cotton was in the first row. How cool is that? I was VIP and wondered if he was too. Don't know. The boys looked really tired the first half of the show. Joe looked like he was sleeping. Timothy was pretty great as usual. When he introduced Glenn he even did a little dance like Glenn and Joe do. Really cute
The second half of the show Don was more chatty than usual
All in all as expected a really great show. Love, love them
I could go to an a Eagles show every night and never tire of seeing them
Oh yeah, one thing I did notice the only backup guys were Scotty Crager, Will and the piano man from Wew Orleans (?). Wonder what this means. Do you think they are winding down???? What do you all think?

Steuert smith was there but Richard Davis was not. There was another guy at the other shows(can't remember his name). He was not there. Only Scotty and Will outside of the boys

Oh you are right Michael Thompson is still there also. But aside from Eagles ( I am counting Steuart as an Eagle) only Scotty, Will holland and Michael Thompson are with them
I am going to Grand Rapids on Monday so will see who is there
I wonder if this is a TRULY the last leg in North America. I get sad just thinking about it
Be interesting to see who is with them in Australia

I am sorry, I beg to differ. Steuart Smith is not an Eagle.
Will's name is spelt 'Holllis'.
We have received no indications that this is their final North American tour.
I would imagine that they will bring this lineup to Australia, but I wonder what has happened to Richard Davis, because I am sure he was on the European leg.

On the LROOE tour, Richard Davis was missing from some shows, so I don't think it means anything really; perhaps he just couldn't make the shows for some reason.

I'm so sorry I didn't mean to upset you. I know that Steuart is not an Eagle. I was merely saying he is always there.
I will remember that Will's name isn Hollis. I was close huh?
I also know there is no formal announcement that they are ending their North American tour. I was just speculating on my own. They have been to all the major cities at least once. I saw an interview with Irving Azoff where he said folks better get out and see this tour because it won't last forever (I personally wish it would!!).

They haven't been to Baltimore or Norfolk or even Richmond. Charleston, WV has been left out. They only did two shows in DC and those tickets sold fast and were hard to get. People aren't going to travel 6 to 8 hours and pay for a hotel room for crappy seats, so there's a huge area of the mid-Atlantic that feels left out. I'm glad they did three shows in North Carolina, but I do have to wonder why they covered that area and not the area to the north of it.
Western NY, Western MA, and north Western PA (and all of central PA) were left out, too.

TimFan - Don't worry ... I don't think anyone means to come across as if they are upset. We are all here to share and discuss this band that we love so much, so there is absolutely nothing that you have to apologize for. Since they are so near and dear to our hearts, our members can get passionate when discussing them. We are all here to learn more about the band down to the most excruciating details, so please don't take offense if someone questions you or adds more details or clarification about something you write. The main thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself here and for all of us to share as much as we can about the band.

TF222, I'm sorry I came off as upset!! I am not upset with you, believe me!! I just wanted to throw those cities into the stratosphere and hope they land in the ear of someone who knows someone who is a second cousin to the best friend of someone who helps make touring decisions!

You definitely didn't do anything wrong! BTW, feel free to go to the review threads for the shows you were at and post your thoughts, especially if you remember anything special. Just because they may have been a while ago doesn't mean we aren't interested in hearing what you have to say!

I don't know where to put this post. If this should go somewhere else please move
One other thing I forgot to tell you. To those who have VIP first row tickets the jean jackets have changed. They have a new vendor and are now dark denim. They actually fit. THE sleeves are the right length and they are just better made all around. I was pleasantly surprised. Also you will get them at the reception in fact I would have ordered one size smaller if I had known
