Another icon has passed away. I remember her as far back as when she appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. She was still so active and witty at 81. She will be missed by many, many people. :-( My prayers are with Melissa.

I am so sadden by the news of Joan's passing. I would love it when she would sit in for Johnny Carson, I actually would beg my Mom to let me stay up to watch! She will be so missed. RIP Joan I'm sure God is already rolling on the floor. Blessings to her family!:weep:

Oh I'm so sorry about Joan. She was hilarious - her definition of happiness, 'marry a rich man with a bad heart' :hilarious:

RIP

I loved watching her on Fashion Police! She would say the worst things about people. I don't know how she got away with it, but it was hilarious!

I kept thinking things must not be very good for her, no more than was said about her condition.

81 and still going strong! RIP Joan!

Although Joan Rivers lived a wonderful life that should be celebrated, it is so sad to comprehend her passing because she was still living life at full force at the ripe age of 81. I also watched her in recent years on Fashion Police and she was hilarious. I think she was able to pull off her type of humor because she actually had a very kind heart and was very loved and respected around the world. Stars understood when she delivered her brash one-liners that they were meant purely for the sake of humor and not intended to be mean-spirited or offensive. Getting zinged by Joan was a badge of honor of sorts. And, of course, she saved her most raunchiest and scathing jokes for herself.

R.I.P. Joan Rivers.

The world has lost a shining light.
