It's late, but I wanted to get everything down.

I think the band sort of took on the sunny San Diego laid-back vibe, they seemed very relaxed and happy, yet vigorous and energetic. Nobody seemed sick, except Glenn did have a sneezing, runny nose issue at one point that lasted for a bit, but not when he needed to sing.

I'll start with Glenn - his voice was excellent, very strong. Hit all of the high notes in NKIT, really superb. Really could not have sounded better. No comment on his attire - the same. All of the jokes came out, as did "that's damn funny", which I think is funny. Glenn's faux-Spanish accent when introducing TBS, "from Sacrrraaamennto, Caleeefornya" is good, too. When he was introduced he did lots of the hilarious Detroit dancing, and then exhorted the crowd to clap more for his moves. He stuck in a "bitch" after "a rich old man, she won't have to worry," and everyone laughed. He spoke very kindly about Randy before TITTL.

Don - ditto on the voice. His voice was not "hoarse" or "raspy" as some reviewers remark - it was strong and clear. I mean, it was his unique Don Henley voice, but the best version of it. Really, really good. His falsetto on OOTN was really crazy - it was pitch perfect. Plaid shirts? Hair and goatee looked good.

Joe - Light blue Jimi Hendrix T-shirt the whole show, I think. Voice sounded great. He had to slyly remove the talk box thingy from his mic after RMW when he started singing the ooh oohs for Desperado and it was still on there. His pelvis thrusting/tongue wagging schtick with Glenn was absolutely hilarious (and disgusting). He had the hat cam.

Timothy - The jeans were tight, the purple t-shirt was short, the hair was very long, the gold earring was in...sigh!! For the second half he had on a really sharp dark blue button down with a wide yellow check - I don't think I've seen it before, it looked brand new? Nice chest view, and stomach view when he raised up his bass over his head (!). He looked really young - I don't know if he's had some face treatments or teeth bleaching or what, but his face and everything about him just looked young and relaxed. ICTYW was...meh, to be honest. Not the best version. But, LWKUA was excellent. For both songs, the crowd went berserk after, like, nuts. Before either LBG or Funk 49 (I forget which), I saw Timothy put a coin (?) on Scott Crago's right-hand cymbal and when Scott eventually hit it during the song the coin flew up in the air and he caught it, then threw it at Timothy's back. This sounds familiar, may have heard about it before.

For Steph - Will Hollis looked particularly fetching, with long hair and a light beard and mustache. Very handsome.

Hubby was very impressed by Scott Crago, said a couple of times how "awesome that guy is" - I think when he moves over to Don's kit he just really kicks it up a notch. He seemed to know a lot of people in the crowd, or maybe he just acts like that.

I had asked in another thread if it is Timothy and Glenn singing the "they're lookin at you, leaning on you" part in Those Shoes. In the show, TBS, Glenn AND Don sung that part, around Don's "they give you tablets of love." Love that song, especially that little part.

And finally, I could not decide - what do you think the guys do after a show in San Diego? It is a 2 1/2 hour drive with no traffic from the arena in San Diego to Timothy's town, a little closer to the Palisades if that's where Glenn still lives - there is no way they are doing that drive departing at almost midnight with Saturday night traffic on the 405. There is also no way they are staying over at a hotel in San Diego. So which is it, private jet to LAX, which still leaves an hour of travel time, or, dare I say, helicopter????!! What thinks you? Eh, maybe they just take a car, but they won't get home until really late and will be on the freeway for 3 hours.

A guy in the next row got kicked out for being drunk, right after DD, and after Don and Glenn told him to put his phone away. The guards waited for the song to end, the four people at the end of the aisle hopped out of their seats, and about 5 guys escorted him out. Glenn was glaring!!! I was scared. Then later, the couple right across the aisle got kicked out - she got caught 3rd time with the phone out. Other than those two things right by me, it was mellow. Not as frantic as LA with the guards jumping all over everyone. The fans simply didn't have their phones out and nobody stood up until told to by TBS. Super mellow surfer crowd, LOL.

It was great. Much PEW to ensue. Back to reality, nothing to look forward to.

Thank you for the review. It's good to hear everyone's voices are holding up so well and all appears to be well.

I read that back in 1980, when they had several concerts reasonably close together, they would base themselves in one city and fly back there after each concert.

MC, thanks for the review!!! I'm so glad everything went well!

As for what they do before and after concerts, of course I don't know, but my feel is that it's different depending on when the next concert is, what city they're in, or what city is next. They likely have a chartered jet, but that wouldn't stop one of them from doing something different. I remember when they played Atlanta on this tour, Glenn attended a basketball game in Atlanta the night after the concert there. I think it was Vancouver where he was also spotted at a restaurant the night after a concert. In both cases they had a concert in a different city the next night (only one open night between concerts). On the other hand, they've also been known to take off for the airport while people are still trying to get out of the arena.

Timothy is also known to take off on his own and drive to Sacramento when they're in the area.

A couple of things I forgot:

Bernie! He was in fine form, looked very handsome in a black t-shirt. Voice sounded great.

I carried the Eagles 72 tote bag that VA gave me - it is nicer than the ones they give out!! Thanks, VA!

The pattern of Timothy's shirt is windowpane, not checked.

I remembered that private jets would probably fly into Burbank, not LAX. I just assume the guys are on their own for transportation when they're that near their homes. Even those who don't live full-time in LA, I'm sure they have a private home they stay in...I'm now thinking private jets to their homes for a few days. No way they're spending extra time in Fresno! (no offense).

Going off of some social media pages, it looks like the guys travel in their own jets. I don't think they travel by jet together, unless it's to a far-flung or remote location, i.e. Nova Scotia. But, who knows?!

Don't believe everything you read on social media about their travel plans!

You are welcome for the bag and it is what they gave out when it was VIP Nation. Now they've gone back to what they gave out before HOTE.

Thanks for your wonderful review, MC. Glad you had another great Eagles concert experience. I'm a little short on time right now, so I can't comment on all that I'd like to, but looking forward to catching up on this thread later.

Thanks for the review MC - I always prefer our own reviews and comments to the ones the papers post. Delighted to hear all of the guys are in top form. Maybe they will continue the tour after Australia if things are going so well for them.

Thanks for the review, but the word usually added by Glenn here is 'much'. Are you sure he said 'bitch'?

I wondered the same thing! At one of the earlier concerts, I can't remember if it was NYC or Des Moines, he said something and I assumed it was 'much', but I remember thinking at the time that something was off about it. I'm definitely going to pay attention on Saturday!

MC. I have noticed a Timothy put something on Scotty's symbol several times.
Sooo funny. I think he is a little prankster

"Much" sounds like it would be more likely, but when everyone around me burst out laughing, I asked, "what?" and the guy next to me said he said "bitch," which surprised me. Doesn't sound like something Glenn would say on stage. Perhaps it just wasn't clear what he said, but the crowd reaction made it seem like more than "much." I will retract my account of this pending VA's show, because I'm guessing FP is right. If he in fact did say that word, I'll reinstate that part!!

That's what I thought. The cynical side of me (how could I be cynical about ANYTHING TBS does??!!) wonders if this is just another scripted moment in their very tightly coreographed show. I know it happened when Joe was talking for sort of a long time, either before LBG or Funk. VA, just keep your eye on TBS when he's hanging out back in the shadows waiting for Joe to finish talking.

I would agree that I have heard him say 'Much'. I don't genuinely think he would say 'bitch'. Its possible he was misinterpreted.

Mary...thanks for the great review...I was at the concert and your descriptive comments brought me right back....the details of TBS's wardrobe made me laugh....I have been lucky enough to attend 4 recent concerts ( I can repeat the script by now!)..... each concert is better than the previous one..the band seems more relaxed as the tour progresses.

I did see Timothy having fun on stage..I was hoping it was a guitar pic that might go flying my way...At intermission, Scott Crago came to the floor on the left side of the stage near where my sister and I were sitting..he seemed very happy to greet some people who were permitted behind the security line..my first impression was that they might be family or friends who traveled to see the show ...I thought the confrontation with the drunk was a little scary too.....we had a few instances by us where security confronted people who disregarded the no cell phone request...it was distracting....I like the ban on camera's....it lets the focus be on the music...

I hope you have the opportunity to review more concerts !

You are sweet, I hope so, too! Sounds like we were sitting close to each other, I was in CCC (Timothy) row 5 on the inside aisle seat! The drunk guy was in row 6, even though Don and Glenn said row 5.

Edit: I wasn't scared of the drunk guy or security, I was worried because Glenn was glaring so hard - he was so mad and it was just the very beginning of the show! Ended up OK though, of course the guys are pros.

And how about that 2nd shirt Timothy was wearing? I wish some photos would surface, but those are usually only from the first songs of the show. I didn't take my phone out once.
