Wow! It's not looking good for In the City so far this round, but based on last round, not many of the Desperado voters have weighed it yet. Neither of the songs are my personal choice to go yet, but it looks like one of them is destined to go down next. Of the two 'Joe' songs left, I like the song PMAIAR better, but I think In the City is a much better performance - it has a lot of energy and audience participation and features the entire band more than PMAIAR. And if I have to choose between In the City and Desperado, I would have exactly the same comment and will be forced to vote for Desperado in order to save In the City. Should be another interesting round.

LITFL isn't my favorite song, but I love their performance of it for HFO. It's a real "band" moment, with them all coming together at the end to face Don's drum kit, making their own little circle around it. To me, it says, "This is the real deal; this is the Eagles as a unit; these guys are a band again."

Thus, I hope it sticks around a bit longer.

I love LITFL performance. Plus Joe finally is let lose on this song. I just love hearing his intro to the song and throughout the song. Like Soda said, I love when they all turned to Don and that nice little drum solo Don does at the end of the song. I really want to see this song stay around. When you think about performance and band participation, they are really into this song compare to the other songs earlier in the set. Technically they let lose the last three or four songs. This is one of them.

And I totally agree with what Soda said about LITFL. As far as a total band performance, it may just be my favorite of all on the DVD. I agree that it is a great performance of a great song of, but, for me, this is more about the entire band, not just Don and Glenn. And this performance of Life in the Fast Lane personifies the resumption of the band to me. As has been mentioned before, when the entire band gathers around Don's drum kit at the end of the song, it is probably the most memorable moment on the DVD for me. It just screams "The Eagles are back!"

I'll join an alliance to save it if I can. So, for those who feel as I do ...

I think it was important for the fans to see that the two main singers & songwriters could still hit it off. In this case I think that does mean more than whether the rest of the band is featured or not. Now its hard for me to pick which one to vote off this round. All three are kick ass performance and my favorites from this DVD. These last three songs are the rocking ones. They finally let loose. You have the song that brought them back together a few months earlier. A new song where Don and Glenn were nervous to share their ideas for the fear they weren't good enough. And then you have the one that has the famous riff. The song that finally had Joe let loose.

I'm going to wait and see how this round goes. Its hard to vote for one of these songs to go, but I know the song I do want to go to the finals. Its the second one that's hard to pick.

Well, if Life in the Fast Lane had made it to the final round, my decision would have been a lot more difficult for sure. I think Get Over It is a really good performance and I’m glad it made it in the Top Three. Although I love the introduction, Don’s performance, and the guitar solos by Glenn, Joe, and Felder, to me, it isn’t the best or even second best band performance on this DVD. Take It Easy has everything. It is one of the two signature Eagles songs and I love the way Glenn introduces it. This is a high-energy performance that showcases the entire band and truly engages the audience. I absolutely love it when they do the extended guitar solos in the song. The band and the audience both look like they are really enjoying this emotional performance here more than any other time on the DVD. And lastly, I love Glenn’s comments at the end. For me, it is absolutely the standout and most memorable performance of the show. So without question ...

The TIE performance is good but not remarkable compared to the other versions of that song that exist live. Almost its position mid-set just doesn't fit.

I vote for GET OVER IT for the win. I like TAKE IT EASY best when all three are playing electric guitars and they rock it out as in HOTE and the version on the LIVE album. This version is excellent, but not my favorite. And with GOI, we got the excitement of hearing a new song at the time.

I'm going to give my reasons for both songs then I'm going to say which one I voted for.

Take It Easy: This is the song that brought them back together just only 4 months earlier thanks to Travis Tritt. What I like about this performance. They were having fun. They finally let loose after majority of the special was soo slow and dragging. And when Glenn said "And here's how it all started." They kicked it into high gear. I love when Don H was laughing at whatever that was said. Don H was soo into the song at the end. His hair was flying everywhere. I loved the extended guitar solo in this version. Joe was killing it on the guitar. One of the best performance of the night. A kick ass performance.

Get Over It: What can I say about this song. This was a kick ass performance too. They were having soo much fun. This has to be my favorite new song from the DVD. Don was soo animated with hands in this song. I loved how all three of the guitar players had solos. They were having fun, fun, fun. Other than Dirty Laundry on the Farewell 1 DVD, I don't think there isn't another song where all three of the guitar player doing their own solos by themselves and not together. I also love from HOTE how the song got together. Both Glenn and Don were nervous that to come together with their ideas and thank goodness they both listen to each other because I thought it was a great song and like somebody said, its underrated.

It wasn't hard with my pick to win because I wanted this song to win from the beginning and I'm glad it did made the finals.

The song I vote for is Get Over It. There was no ins, ands or buts about my pick. It was just hard for me to pick which song to go to the finals with. So I pick the song I wish they still play.

Wow, surprised all the votes GOI is getting! Great song....and certainly a worthy winner.

The version of TIE on here though is without a doubt the best, including all of their 70s versions with different lineup. It takes a mild country song and adds some much-needed girth and rawness to it. That solo that Dreamer talks about during the "oooh oooh" part by Joe is simply fabulous. It really shows that Joe can pretty much take any good country tune and make it even better.

I like country, but mostly when it hits hard and LOUD - not pretty stuff or stuff that is melancholic. For instance, I prefer guys like Dwight Yoakam over guys like Merle Haggard or Hank Williams Sr. Dwight was LOUD and proud. I'm actually seeing him tonight in concert. I'm just not a fan of mild music... My mild is most people's rockin' music! :D

I was very scared that it would be eliminated early in the game since all the new songs were eliminated early. It went against a veteran song and they both were great performance, but seeing the guys having fun, Glenn/Don F/Joe having their own guitar solo and Don H getting his point across about daytime tv, I loved it better.

Have we played the Hell Freezes Over DVD Survivor Game before and if we did, we won then.
