Joe plays a, sold out, fund-raising concert at his alma mater, Montclair High School. He graduated in 1965. Joe spoke to the students, the day before the show. The concert took place in the school auditorium to benefit the high school and the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE). There was exclusive merchandise, as modelled by Joe and his band, available too

From Joe's Facebook page;

Returned to my high-school, MHH on their 100th anniversary. Met with the student body and was gifted the key to Montclair, NJ.
I am humbled and grateful.

It looks like it was the standard set list. I bet he didn't play I Like Big Tits.

Here's a rollicking Funk #49 with some souped-up Spanish Dancer licks thrown in. :smile:

The show is remarkable for the noticeable lack of Cell phones and audience chatter. Definitely a trip back to the past, in more ways than one.

Somebody was filming though. Here's In The City;

Wow! This must have been a really special show for both Joe and the school. I can only imagine how inspired and excited those students must have been.

Here's an article from that night. I was saying in the other thread that the guys (except Glenn since he's a year younger)graduated from high school 50 years ago. Its so weird.

This Montclair teen doesn't realise that he's probably just had the musical highlight of his life: http://www.northjersey.com/news/education/montclair-high-junior-takes-the-stage-with-joe-walsh-1.1428044
