I'm thinking about it. I have a friend in Houston who would be happy to see me. Plus I think that's Martin Luther King holiday that Monday. I might go, but their could be some closer cities after that date. Decisions, decisions. I don't know. I want to go.

I had a lot of convincing on facebook. So I decided I'm going to go see Don in Houston. I have a friend in Texas and I know she don't mind me staying at her house. She's been begging me for over 10 years since she move to Houston to come out there. I know she will be happy to see me. I will kill two birds with one stone. See my best friend and seeing Don in the same weekend. Plus Monday is a holiday, so I can go home the next day. Depending which suburb city she lives in, its going to be almost a 7 hour drive. I can do it. I drove to Missouri, but I guess I didn't want to go a city I was not familiar with.

Now I wonder how much the tickets are. That's what I'm waiting for. They haven't put Don's show up on ticketmaster yet.

When we first talked about it, Don had not announced his Houston show. Of course, as I told her, she's free to back out and go to the show if she wants - I wouldn't be upset or hurt. I know how it is!

I'm very happy for those of you who are going to this show, especially shun, who will see her first Don solo show, and those of you who are planning on crossing the pond to come over. That is fantastic.

Oh shoot, HH - don't worry about that. We know that you aren't trying to stir the pot. Since you're going to be right in HB's back yard, of course, you would want your concert buddy to be with you. It's too bad that the show conflicts with our planned Border gathering in L.A., but as we say 'stuff happens'. Unfortunately, we can't move the L.A. date to the following weekend because we are trying to take advantage of Monday, 1/16 being a holiday here in the states.

I didn't hit me until maybe a day when I notice that the next day is a holiday. I'm glad it is so I don't have to miss Monday. I probably take a half of day that Friday so I can spend a lot of time with my best friend.

I just remember. This would be an early birthday present to see Don before my birthday. My birthday is February 3rd. 2 and a half weeks early.

I guess this was a sign for me to go to the show in Houston.

If at all possible, I would recommend you do it, shun. Start putting aside money for it right away so you don't get into debt, but do it if you can.

Are you both going to go? I hope so. I have/had an account called the 'Glenn ❤️Fund' for years.

If I make it to the States that weekend however it will be for Sodas remembrance event. I hope I get there.

Thanks everybody. I'm going to try to save for my ticket first. If I have any money left over from my Memphis trip, I will use that money and buy my ticket in September than October. I can do it because I did it for the Memphis. I love to spend and I didn't even touch that money. I'm soo proud of myself. Luckily I don't have to spend too much money on gas since its only 3 hours away from me.

I'm getting excited. Finally seeing my first Don solo show. This really has been a good year. A new job, seeing Joe with Soda next month and now Don. I didn't think I was going to see neither guys. I miss my chance to see the Eagles. I won't do that with Joe and Don. Even Timothy. I will always kick myself for not seeing the Eagles, but I can't drag on the past. I have to support the other guys.

I need to tell my best friend soon that I'm coming to visit her. I don't remember if I saw her this year. I usually see her once or twice when she comes to see her sister.

Their probably be more later. This is the second date after the New Year's Eve show. He might be touring in the months or he might start in March when its not snowing that much.

The classic rock station in H-town has started giving away tickets to Don's show. They are playing a game of "name that tune in one note". The first game this morning was the first note of Desperado. :doh: That one was so easy! I wish I could listen at work.

I told my best friend that I was coming to see her in January. She was happy and playing around that I'm only coming to Houston because Don will be there. LOL I know she was playing. It would be good to see her. I don't think I saw her this year. My best friend told me she's only 10 minutes away from Sugarland. So its good I don't have to travel far to Sugarland from where she lived in Houston. She didn't even know about Smart Financial Centre. I told her it should be opening in January.

Once I get the Memphis trip out of the way, I will concentrate on Don's show. Whatever money I have left over from Memphis, that will go toward my ticket. I was going to get the 79.50 tickets, but since both will be in 100.00s, I'm might as well go with the 99.50 ticket and be in the 200 section.

I can't believe I'll be seeing Don in January. I didn't think it would happen.

I am so sorry that I am going to miss you ladies (and Don)! My hometown and I won't be here. I have not seen Don's solo show on this tour. Soda & I will see him NYE's but reading the Montreal Gazette interview, I am not sure it will be a full set. He said he agreed to do NYE because the casino promised that he could be done by 10:00p.m.

I know y'all will have a blast in H-town even though I won't be here! :D

I might swing by Linden again. I don't know yet, but I really want to go see Caddo Lake. I didn't get to see it when I was in Texas last year. I saw some of Caddo Lake when I was driving through Louisiana, but I didn't get a chance to take a picture.

I have time to think between now and January. I'm getting excited. I have two big concerts coming up back to back. Donny and Marie(a show I also always wanted to see, but couldn't to see them in Vegas, but they are coming to my state in December and then Don in January. What a nice early birthday present to me. Both tickets are paid. So I don't have to worry about that now. Now its time to save.

I have my tickets as well! I am actually going to see him twice, NYE and Houston. I never got to see the Eagles in concert so I am catching them individually in solo shows. I saw Joe Walsh in May, Don Felder in June and now Don Henley; my husband is graciously allowing me to see him twice. :)
I am keeping a look out for other shows. Sadly, there are some that I will never be able to see. :(

I actually was going to pay later, but the extra money I had saved from last month was never touched and I just went ahead and bought my ticket.

I got section 204 Row M First seat. That seat had been popping up for weeks. I should had just went ahead and got the more expensive seats, but I was like. Nahh. It would had been almost 200.00. I just had enough money for my ticket. I bought the $99.50 ticket.

I used my only voucher(from that lawsuit) for Don's show. That was it. No more other than my free ticket voucher that I probably will never use. It was worth using that only voucher. I was going to use it for either Don's and Donny and Marie's show, but somebody paid for my ticket so I didn't use it then.

I decided I'm gonna go ahead and see Linden again and visit Caddo Lake. I'm spending the night near Linden and then heading to Houston on Saturday.

Yeah. I went to Linden last year, but I was in a hurry because I was heading to Missouri for my vacation and I had 6 more hours to drive from Texas. Plus I had to be in Missouri before 8 because I had a show that night. I didn't have time to see Caddo Lake either, but did go pass it when I was driving through Louisiana.

That trip turned from a normal 8 hour drive to Missouri to a little over 10 driving from Texas, but it was so worth it even though I was super tired when I got there. So I'm going to see more when I'm there in January. I had already book my hotel in another city close to Linden.

I'm really looking forward to hearing Talking To The Moon. I hope Best of My Love, The Last Resort and/or Wasted Time is on the setlist in January. Don added those songs later into the tour even though he's been singing Wasted Time since Europe tour. I can't wait to see what Don pulls out of his sleeve. Maybe we will hear some more rare treasures Don(and even the Eagles) haven't played in years. I always wanted to hear I Will Not Go Quietly, but I don't see that happening.

If this be the only show I've ever see of Don, I'll be a very happy camper. I'll be in Austin the day before, but I don't want to spend my money for Houston. So I'm only seeing Sugarland and also go to Linden/Caddo Lake. I don't know if I will far again, but I'm only doing this for Don. I would had never travel to Texas. Plus I'm seeing my best friend who lives in Houston. So I'm looking forward to my mini Texas vacation trip.
