Yikes. Not a good night to showcase a new CD. Multiple concerts across the country are scheduled to "end gun violence." Felder, is headlining the L.A. show and Jackson Browne is set to headline a concert at New York ' s Beacon theater along with Marc Cohen and Roseanne Cash. Over 100 cities nationwide are set to participate. The event is called "Concert Across America."

I just realized this is supposed to be the weekend my brother and I are going back to Nashville!!! :D Only thing is that my brother wants to go to the Raiders NFL football game that day and I said I'd go with him. LOL Of course it also depends how my college class is going and if my brother's new job doesn't start till after this, but as of now we'll still be there that weekend. We're supposed to go to the Opry that Friday and spend time around town on Saturday.

Yes, they are. My Dad and brother are huge Raider fans and I've never actually been to an NFL game. So part of our trip was for him to see them and for us to go back and see Nashville the whole weekend as we went to CMA Fest last year but only for a day and it was so busy.

Like I figured we won't be going to Nashville after all. My brother got a new job and it will be starting that week. We did plan this trip at the beginning of this year but shows things change. Hopefully will be able to go back next year.

Have a great time at the show tonight! Ladies, STICK AROUND RIGHT AFTER THE SHOW!!!! After one concert I saw him literally fly through the auditorium (he walks so fast), and I got to meet him, get an autograph and picture with him after another concert! So it's definitely worth hanging around afterwards (take a sharpie pen). Good luck.

Well - Unfortunately, Soda and I won't be making the show tonight. We made it to Nashville from Phoenix last night on schedule. However, both Soda and I have been fighting bronchitis this trip, but Soda has been getting progressively worse. This morning we went to the ER here in Nashville to have her checked out after she started coughing up some blood yesterday. It looks like she has an abscess in her lung and they are hospitalizing her for the next day or so until it clears up. Let's just say we two have been on many trips together over the past 11 years and this one has definitely been one of our more 'challenging' experiences. I told her one of these days, we'll be able to look back at this weekend, shake our head, and just laugh.

ETA: I was going over to CT&W to start a 'Get Well Thread' for Soda, but HB beat me too it. Please head over there and wish her a speedy recovery. I'm sure she will be very appreciative of our well wishes.
