Saw Pete Burns was trending on Twitter and thought it must be because of a controversial appearance on a UK TV show but he never made it to the show.

So sad. I loved You Spin Me Round. I think I fell in love with the song when it was The Wedding Singer.

I saw this yesterday and so sad. :( I knew the song before but like Shun said "The Wedding Singer" made it even more popular.

Another 80s artist! This is sad. I liked Spin Me Round back in the day, but I think Brand New Lover is even better.

I hadn't heard of Brand New Lover. Will check it out.

What's sad is that his death didn't even make the news here despite his appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, which I caught by chance and loved because he was so intelligent, articulate and opinionated.

You mean like the television news? You're British, right? There were several articles about Pete in the Daily Mail. Does that count as news? ;-)

I was a big fan in the '80s, and yes, the US version of Daily Mail had prominent articles. So sad!
