Former Eagles Solo CDs Re-release

It appears these titles will be re-released in June by the Friday Music label:

Randy Meisner, Randy Meisner (1978 )
Don Felder, Airborne (1983)
Bernie Leadon, Natural Progressions w/Michael Georgiades (1976)

Each album is described as a "Limited Anniversary Edition/Original Recording Master." The editorial review goes on to say these cds are "mastered by Joe Reagoso from the original Asylum Records tapes at Friday Music Studios." I don't know what this means--not re-mastered but simply recorded from the original analog tapes? Anyway, I'm really curious about this. The original 1978 Randy Meisner s/t cd goes for about $40 these days.

The cynic in me translates "Limited Anniversary Edition/Original Recording Master." to mean getting rid of old stock, maybe with new artwork, unless Mr. Reagoso got involved very recently.

I wonder what the anniversary is. They were all released in different years :-?

I will have to check this out. I have Randy's first album on vinyl but not cd, this is a much better price then I have seen out there.

Maybe the anniversary has to do with the Friday Music label not the albums themselves. :shrug:


The release dates for these cds have been pushed back to August 4 (see same link above). I will probably pre-order Randy's although the reviews of Joe Reagoso's (re)mastering work haven't been great, from what I've read.
